I've been watching (and doing) MX & SX since 1975, I've had enough of dangerous tracks, the media, all the wankers complaining about Vince, ruts, betting, and so many riders out with injuries. I'm in Australia, I always get up in the middle of the night to watch the sport I use to love, well now I can get some sleep waiting for the outdoors to start.
Sure there'll be plenty of young kids that get off on all the jumpy, jump and media wank. I guess in the start, supercross was almost a version of motocross, but now they are two different sports.

I'm a bit younger, so I've only been watching since 2001. There's definitely some things that frustrate me about how the sport has changed since then, but that's also the nature of motorsports.
So take a few weeks off, try something new, maybe go watch a few old races on YouTube to get your nostalgia kicks and remind yourself that the "good old days" had their own set of issues, too.
Yeah, we got 2 guys going to duke it out, all the way to the last lap for the title and 2-3 more going down to the wire for 3rd. But yeah, bail…
