I guess it's pretty easy to do...as a matter of fact, it's as easy as "pulling a tear off, or adjusting your clutch in mid air"... according to Pre-mix junkie/blake...

of course. The hard part is deciding whether to pull the tear off before or after you kick start the bike.

One time my kickstart lever fell off and I had to reach down with my hand and roll the rear wheel to bump start it.

A friend of mine start shanged the piston when the startgrid fell and still managed to get the holeshot and then he notes a pistonbolt circlip on his glove and fix the clip in the piston at full trottle in a really bumpy section and won the heat, really true storie

I did it one time, it was on a 99 YZ400F. So I take off the face of this jump and it dies on me. I didn't panic, I did like I always did. Pull the hot start button on the side of the carb, kick it until it approaches TDC, pull the compression release, kick it past TDC. Let the lever come back up, kick it all the way through. It didn't start the first time so I repeated the steps again. It started on the 5th kick, just in time to concentrate on my landing. It's easy, why is everyone making a big deal about it?
