It matters, for sure. This season was the first time I caught myself thinking, "Wow, I wonder if Jett will actually bounce back and start winning immediately?" In the past, it's been no question.

But Jett isnt crashing because he's pushing too far. Jett's like Herlings where his crashes arent spectacular but get's injured. Chase seems to be like Gajser where you think he might've died, but he's made of rubber and pops right up.
Butt, its hard to keep that edge when hes sitting on the couch and the competition is improving. Its going to be tough, especially with the arrivals of Jorge and Deegan. ET3 is going to rip outdoors as well on the KTM.

To that topic, dude outdoors is shaping up to be INSANE.

Happy and healthy Jorge is going to rip

Happy and healthy ET3 he looks more comfortable than he has in a long time

Jett will be showing back up to prove he’s still the guy and will try to shut them down hard

Hunter is better every day

Will chase have the kawi figured out and be back in top form?

Can’t wait for outdoors I really hope they’re all healthy come pala.

But has anyone thought about the number of BIG crashes he’s had for years now and the toll they have to have taken?

He’s had highlight reel slams year after year since what 2020?

Eventually Stew stopped being Stew after so many of those hits. They add up.

I’m not saying he’ll never be “back” but they certainly have dulled the blade.

Jett as well, you only get to “bounce” back from so many massive injuries before you start to lose the edge.

I’m not saying for either of them they’re done as of now, but if they keep having highlight reel slams and months off the bike each year, it’s not good.

To chase's credit he hasn’t missed a ton of time, but he’s still had big hits.

Chase's issues are 100% mental and/or not being comfortable on the bike right now, and 0% from former injuries. He is still young, and the strength and fitness of these elite athletes protects their bodies massively through these hits. It is true that if any one of us weekend warriors took the same kinds of injuries we would be laid out for far longer and have a much harder time coming back, but there is truth to the trope "these guys are just built different".

Totally agree with this post. People hate it when I post that Jett has elite speed but he is a crasher, meaning he rides too far past his limits pushing the edge. But I hope these guys back it down slightly so they can be great for a long time.

Perhaps you haven't heard, he's only riding at 80%. 😂 That's the one I like. Because his style is so smooth he's not on the edge

lol that’s no kidding.

You must have forgot the crash that ended his winning streak in 2024 at Hangtown. He was trying to triple downhill in a spot nobody was, pushing too hard.
