Never happened.  It's weird, as the bikes are released in December, how does that make it .5 anything!   It's officially called the 'Factory Edition'.   See the websites of Husqvarna, GasGas, KTM, Kawasaki or Honda.  Never, '.5'.  Not really a thing, who cares, but, it's the same as mispronouncing Husq-A-varna.  Dumb shit!

See, as you show, some American moto-media sites show this .5 shit... Boneheads.

Of all the things in the world that could make a person upset this is your “that’s it I’ve had it” moment huh?

I know, there might be more important things in the World right now, just maybe!

It’s not an FE though. This is an FE:

I remember that bike as being the regular season 1978 Suzuki RM250. It was the C2 because Suzuki ran out of the 1977 RM250B so early that they fired up the production line again and the aluminum tank RM250C was a 1977.5. But, if you remember the 70s, you weren’t really there.

You guys do know, no brand has ever released a .5 model?   It's called a Factory Edition.  Git with it!

I was finally able to get mine out and get it broke in.  Power wise so far I like it better than my 24 Yamaha.  Super smooth linear power.  I did not feel much of a difference playing with the different mapping options.  As far as suspension it felt pretty good.  Not earth shattering but definitely smooth and a better feel than what I remember air feeling on my 19 KTM.  Set up in the middle of recommended range and then went to the comfort setting.  Still need to play around with it and probably bump up spring rates.  So far I am a happy camper.  We will see how it is when I get a chance to ride a rougher track.
