My bikes typically sit from november till about march, last winter i noticed a little coolant on my 2023 yz250f at the weep hole. just a little in the actual hole and some dried up under the case. I thought it was weird and ended up putting a water pump seal on it. This winter I noticed the same thing on both my 2024 and 2023 yz250fs. they have just been sitting in my garage which is usually heated but does fluctuate depending on if i am home or not and never below freezing. Ive never noticed this on any of my other bikes only these two four stroke yzs. Do they need seals or is something else going on. they were not leaking when i rode last and both have relatively low hours.
Only reason I noticed was I had the bike laid over to put a clutch in it, seen this also how’s a plate just crack. This is the first plate installed

Seals get cold, and rigid if they sit for a while. I say the seep is normal.
Monitor weep hole and coolant level, occasional drip non issue, if it starts gushing, service the water pump seals & possibly the shaft. Clutch plates usually break from over heating them….I used to break plates after racing Southwick occasionally…self proclaimed clutch abuser😂
Weird thing is in my Yamaha service manual it says to line up the notch in the fibers I’m assuming for oil flow, but both my 23 and 24 were staggered from the factory.
