Dearest Girlfriend,

Maybe the "Honda logo" on the Shoruds, front & rear fenders is visible to you; however, I seem to have missed it.

Then there's the Jersey and Pant "Indentifiers" that seem to be missing, too.

But, that's jus' me.

Look, I'm jus' fckn with ya; but, it is odd that it's not there.

Honda's pretty serious about this stuff.

I'm thinkin' it'll be there by A1 (It's suppose to be there for all public/media events).

Here you go anonymous insiderHonda welcomes multiple AMA Supercross and AMA Motocross Champion Chad Reed and his newly formed TwoTwo Motorsports team to the Honda fold in 2011. With the support of Honda’s industry-leading Red Riders Reward program, Reed will contest the 2011 Supercross competition aboard Honda’s CRF450R. "For me Honda makes the most sense," said Reed. "It’s what I would call a racer’s bike in that it is very light and very nimble, and it just fits my style very well. I’m excited to be riding Honda motorcycles and to have Honda’s support with the program."

I thought the same thing about the lack of logo's.... But I looked at the Geico bikes and other than the seat cover, I don't see honda logo's on the bike. Although, the do have a logo on the front of the Jersey.

I got a little misty-eyed seeing the big Bel Ray sticker on the front fender. Way back in '77 we brought a brand-new RM80B home, and the first thing I did was put Bel Ray on the fenders. Logo hasn't changed much in 33 years, either.

Bel Ray, no energy drinks, toned-down gear. Is that Tommy Croft's box van?

Mem-ories....*sniff*

LoudLove - Those flashbacks would be even worse if Reed's setup when he raced the Vodafone Honda at the 1st round of the Aust SuperX. All he had was the bikes, two buddies, a cheap ass little toolbox and a Toyota 4x4 PickUp! I've seen local club wooden spooners with bigger setups and spares.

It was pretty cool to see a pro like Reed going racing like he was Joe Average like the rest of us.....it obviously worked for him......and hopefully it stays like that.

I think people forget how fast Reed and Stewart are on an SX track. Dungey, Villo, etc. will annoy them from time to time, but I just don't think they're at the same level yet.

Dont know if someone has asked yet and cannot be bothered re reading 3 pages but...Does Chad now qualify for the Top Privateer money at the end of the Year?

Why does he need to put Honda stickers on the bike? Everyone knows it'a a Honda cause it's red and that there is Honda branding dating back to the late 70's. The size of the signage is representative of the cash injection, and he's said previously he ain't getting much from big red so obviously they aren't getting much back. Bikes, parts and contingency deal like a true privateer maybe?(but bigger) And look at the PR they've got out of this thread alone!

And Pro Circuit doesn't build Windams motors. Team Geico/FC mechanics do. Pro Circuit provides technology, assistance and exhausts. Standard and custom to suit.

Seriously! How serious is Honda about this policy when the CAS Honda team was running these graphics in the GP's this year. Seems like it's OK to run whatever you've contracted to run. No Honda logo on the shroud either. Maybe it's the new economy.
