Roger De Coster thinks that Christophe Pourcel will race the Supercross Series!
Mitch will help him out. That what he said at the DMXS Show. You can listen it here ...

Lets hope that a great talent like him can ride an battle with the guys!

I think we all collectively hope so!

RD also compared Roczen's style like RC's in a way. Helluva a compliment. A1 can't get here soon enough.

Hope so, but with almost no time left, highly doubt it.

I don't doubt that Mr.377 has been training and maybe even has something going but is keeping it secret until race entry time. You never know.

oh pourcy...He could have had a 450 zook ride last year, the best ride there is, and Dungys teamate no less, God knows how they could have pitted out of the same truck tho!

A potential double 450 championship year down de tubes...and a chance to run over Dungys head, and quash it like a grape, and taste the sweat taste of victory wine from des grape juice. cai le vie pourcy

* the above statements are made in humour and do no reflect, imply, or otherwise endorse the squashing of anyones head, especially a square one like Dungys.

I just don't see that happening. Mitch has made it clear that there are too many outside conflicts with him having a 450 rider or section for team. Let alone with 3 weeks left until A1

I'm like Rupert on this one and won't believe it until the first A1 practice.

Yeah, that must be why that last series they competed in would have most likely been won by Pourcel other than Dungey if not for mechanical failure. I believe CP won the majority of races that year also. That must make him the shit then, seeing as how he supposedly can do this with minimal training while Dungey needs to train, then train some more, then train about 50 more times after that. You're right though. Why would anyone not want to have to work 52 times harder to get the same job done? Whistling

I'm gay and this has caused a lot of pain in my life so please don't make fun of gays like you did last time we talked, OK? But be that as it may, Dungey and Pourcel have not gotten the "same job done"...Pourcel is 0 for 2 while Dungey is 2 for 2! HUGE difference, friend!

Well the year before CP almost got it over Dungey (winning 13 motos, 7 for Dungey I think), he was there...

What would be so difficult for CP to show up at the West rounds in his star trailer and Mitch allows him to pit out of the PC semi ... giving him support and a fully prepped bike? I imagine some sponsors could be drummed up to defray costs. If Pourcel places well or just shows good potential the teams are all gong to have to think carefully about it.

When the inevitable thinning of the pack begins from injury, CP will probably look like a steal .... assuming he adjusts his asking price correctly. CP could potentially do alright still this season.

Oooo the good old gay insult. Real original captain. May I ask how old you are? I see you are from Minnesota. Not even gonna bother with this one. The world would be a better place if you were just another stain on Ma 'n Pa's sheets.

Listen, I WAS a stain on Ma and Pa's sheets and I am highly offended by your last comment. I've worked hard to overcome this problem and speak for all of us former stains to ask you for some compassion. Thank you.

Cue announcers voice

It's the amzing 2strokerider ladies and gentleman.
Never before have we seen such an amzing predictive talent.
This guy makes Kreskin look like one of the roached out "physics"
that you see on TV at 3 AM. He truly is amazing folks, you have to see it to believe it.

All kidding aside that is a pretty bold statement considering the talent he would be surrounded by on the gate. Not saying he couldn't do it but I think it's a stretch.

So true. Training is so overrated. Why work hard when you can just skate by? This is no way is about Pourcel, as I like him plenty.

He did not win the title though, whether due to mechanical or crashing........two years straight now. Unfortunately, that is part of the game. Many a title has gone bye bye due to mechanicals and crashing. Ricky Johnson would have had two more 250 MX titles if not for mechanicals. Stewart would have many more if not for crashing.

no more bold than people saying anybody else would win it, just some people don't seem to like people saying non american riders will win!

Pourcel is insanely talented on a dirtbike- there is no denying that. The 450 class will be the closest championship it ever has been for years (if all the contenders stay fit) but i would put pourcel and dungey as the 2 favourites as they seem to use their heads alot more than say, stewart - who will definitley win races, but probably crash alot too!

How many times have we been able to say that there could be 7 or 8 different race winners of main events? Its gonna be an awesome season- i think pourcel (if he is there) dungey, RV, stewart, canard, reed, windham and grant will all win races- the title will go to the most consistant rider that keeps it on 2 wheels!

You could say that predicting anybody to win this year is a bold statement, it is literally wide open
in my opinion the championship will be won through consistency- i think stewart will win A1 an be lightning fast, but crash alot.
The supercross season will be amazing.
I am very interested to see how roczen does, as i havent seen him on a supercross track before- if all the reports are true then he should be up there too, I would like to see him win, but I just hope he comes back fit for the gps, so i can see him at valkenswaard in april!

physics is the scientific study of space. matter and time- it think you mean 'psychics'?!

It's called bench racing- something that seems to be acceptable on here if you are supporting an american rider, but not if you are supporting a non american. I want to see pourcel out there, and winning because I love to watch him ride, not because he is a 'euro'

I was just bustin your nuts because you stated it as a fact instead of an opinion. Lighten up Francis. Wink

I know, a-lot of other people do it too. I really don't care who you or anyone else likes to root for. I personally think Dungey will win it again but I will be happy to have watched it all regardless of who wins. Yes even if CP races and wins it all I will be happy for him. I, like most I would hope, just want good racing and I think we are going to get it this year.

i dont doubt it at all! (that we will get good racing this year)
dungey would be a good bet- he is mr consistant! Its amazing that so many people are doubting him and saying that stewart will blow everyone away- Dungey deserved his 2 titles last year, and was the best guy by miles. He proved in the earlier rounds that he was on the pace of stewart and reed (he didnt only win because they are injured)
I'm not a big fan of supercross - always preferred the outdoors, but this has the potential to be the best season ever- and i am looking forward to it more than any supercross season I can remember!
12/17/2010 4:20am
i will be very interested to see how canard does- he looked smooth and consistant on the 450 last season, but was quite a bit off the pace of dungey etc- i think he will have improved alot over last year, now he is on the 450 full time (and has had plenty of testing time) but whether he has the raw pace to hang with the front guys remains to be seen! (i hope he has)
I think pourcel already has a deal with mitch to race the 450 at supercross- i think he likes to be secretive (like the not training with the other riders etc) I just hope he is fully fit by A1, so he can show everybody what he is really capable of!
He has had great battles with dungey, RV and canard in the 'lites' so he obviously has the talent!

I am not so sure Canard didn't have the pace last year. I have a feeling, though no way to know if it's true or not, that he was holding back just a smidge so as not to get in the way of the title fight Ryan and Ryan were having at a few of the rounds. I guess we will see in a few weeks.
