Hill won't be on the line for A1, but if H&H hired him he still could do Xgames and probably easily win if he could return to his previous condition.
I'm sure he would take any ride he could get right about now.
I kind of thought that L&M would keep him around?

I dont think they are gonna have Supercross at XGames this year. Wink
Heard it was going to be an enduro cross this year.

Hill and Tim Ferry both confirmed signed to H&H, will not be competing in SX but will be doing the X-games endurocross.

This is quite possibly the dumbest thing I've ever read. Despite the blatant flaw in reasoning there are numerous examples proving you wrong.

I think as far as TV goes.
Most mainstream audiences get a kick out of EX,the guys going through the water, over rocks & tires etc,is quite appealing to the non hardcore fan.
I would assume ESPN has done a bit of homework.
I guess we will see....

Personally, I do not see why they couldn't fit an extra 15 minute EX main into their TV times and keep SX also. Perhaps it has to do with purse money also and what the event sponsors want.

The kid has been pro for only a couple years , he was leading the points in SX for about 1/2 the season last year....and you are already writing him off? Yeah.....he got hurt at the Xgames.....I don't understand why some people think that was a career ending crash. Believe me....Josh is motivated and he learned a valuable lesson. I think he's going to get nothing but stronger over the next few years. A little to early to write someone like that off sheeesh.

"Hill ejected from his bike while completely upside down. Hill landed on his feet and was narrowly missed by his YZ450F, but in the impact he suffered a broken right femur, broken right humerous, a fractured pelvis and a partially collapsed lung."

Not sure what X Games injury you're talking about, but this just happened in July at the deft family headquarters.
The practice jump for the Xgames is what I'm talking about. Exactly the injury list you wrote is what I was referring to.

Look.....guys have come back from broken backs , compounded femurs , head injuries and so forth.....and had great careers after wards.

Josh is an athlete.....and athletes have a way of getting themselves healed up and ready for competition again if they work for it. Josh "IS" working towards that , and at a much faster rate than what many people thought were possible.

He will be fine.....trust me! I don't think we'll see him attempting any more back flips from now on though.

I will say one other thing : If we were all standing in a big room with Josh.....would you look right at him and say some of the shit that has been posted in here? After watching him ride and train again , after what he just went through.....i think you nay-sayers would be in shock.

You might as well say all the negative stuff right to his face.....because he comes on here and reads through these boards sometimes. But the chickenshit guys who come on here and post behind some ridiculous username don't have to worry about it......because NOBODY really knows who they are!

Nothing like trying to crush the spirit of a kid that has given most of his life to the sport he loves. And is working towards the best comeback he can possibly manage.

Some of the guys on here , really need to think , before they post some of the stupid shit they say.

Wow! I never thought that day would come where Supercross was replaced with Endurocross......
Anyways, I still think that Hill has something left in his tank.

Yes. Only sensitive and positive posts from now on. Because that's what this place is built on.

You're obviously his biggest cheerleader and that's fine but I'm pretty sure he knows better than to take everything he reads on here too seriously.

I think he should keep trying the backflip until he conquers it, otherwise its going to be a big ass monkey on his back.. Maybe into a foam pit first though.

I'm a fan of watching Josh race , along with a lot of the other riders. And I don't think he takes everything serious on here. But just reading what some people type on here , and what they really think , could probably bug a kid a little ya know?

I know this board can be pretty ruthless ( especially for the riders ). I was just trying to make a point that , a lot of guys who talk trash on here , do it behind some stupid username , and would never say the things they do with certain people standing next to them is all.

Either way.....I wish Josh luck in the nationals.

I'm rootin' for him, too; but, let's be honest....he needs to stay on track and stay focused for the entire season. No partyin' 'til it's over. No Tweetin'like a lil' girl and talkin' smack about the guy that, actually, handed Josh (& Jason) his ass.

Josh has been guilty of puttin' some shit out there, too, remember?

I'm of the opinion that Josh's "social-life" was a contributor to many of his problems...he's young, shit happens...& "Yes!" I'm of the school of "Let's Move-On"...I hope the kid is, too.

He's shown us that he has mad skills and he CAN RUN UP FRONT.

So, let's hope he get's back to that speed/level...again.

Carey & Watson can be a very good thing for Josh. They'll give him some personal support to move on in the right direction.

I just hope Josh gets himself healthy first. That is awesome of H&H to throw their support behind him if true.

If he gets anywhere close to 100% he will do some serious damage.

Was that sarcasm or do you not know who TG is? He has quite a bit of connections that are established away from a keyboard.

And if this ride is true, I'm stoked for Josh. Kid needs a break (no pun intended) like no other, and this could be our KDub for the next generation.

This is a little off the subject, but....
So, if Hill sits out of Supercross this year and maybe Motocross as well, could he come back in 2012 and race the lites class? If so, that would be an AWESOME pickup for Mitch. I know Langston didn't really want to do it in 2005 (I think that was the year), but knew it was for the better for his career. Maybe Josh would as well. Could he move back down?

He used to be to fat, and the yz250f was a turd when he raced it...So a ressurecting ride for Mitch in 2012 sounds perfect for Hill.

I just hope that he doesn't retire too soon, if he is still capable of riding/racing professionally.
I think he kind of got the shaft last year with L&M for having to carry the weight of the whole team on his shoulders.

right, cause the positive hopey thinking works out so well for all these pros......there are thousands more could've been stories then are made it stories. I'm not writing him off, I'm just saying my money says he will be no better then a mid pack guy this season between injury and the equipment not being equal to what he had. I could be wrong, wouldnt be the first.
503, havn't you heard, if you miss one season with an injury you lose your talent, jus ask CR, who is a privateer now, but killing Trey and Grant at the Honda test track, or JS, who contrary to popular belief, will be even better this year!
Hill, hes the 2nd youngest rider to win a an SX and is now done at the ripe old age of 20!
Than you have Brayton, or even Short, who don't get injured, still getting factory rides, but will never, ever win a single SX in their career.

bike wise i think hill would do best on a suzuki or back on a yamaha. i thought hill had a 2 year deal with san manuel for 10/11 seasons? and yes i know he badly broke his leg in (his) off season doing backflips.
