First of all he was paid $150 not $300. Secondly if you can't afford150% don't offer it. Third we looked for an email on your web site and could not find it. Later we found a little link down at the very bottom of you site in dark gray on black. Sent an email but still no response from that email. So yes the vital post did get your attention. We did not complain about the other cost just stated them. The extra practice fee was definitely unusual for a race, especially with a $100 entry fee. Yes maybe to you or me this is not much money but for a 18 year old struggling racer it is.

i am still confused as to who told you we could not afford it. i got a phone call yesterday while he was waiting to pick up his pay, and i told the girls to pay $300 to first, and $150 to second. that was the last i heard of it. I am still waiting for one of them to call me back, because like i said, there is a possibility that they made a mistake. If that happened, i wish it would have been brought up differently, or to me or the girls yesterday, at the race, at the track. I am the last person to try to cheapskate my way out of something and i like to think that we are always more than fair. if there was a mistake, it will get fixed. we are not trying to hold out on someones money, and certainly not $150 worth. that is less than our hourly fuel cost to run the generator for our lights. its too bad this got blown so far out of proportion. again, email me bryce@bouldercitymotocross.com if you didn't get the full $300 and i will fix it.

Well, with all parties present except the pay-out girls this should be easy to get to the bottom of now. It'll be interesting to see what happened to the missing $150. Please hurry A1 I can't believe I'm commenting on threads like this.

I know it's my first post so let's get the newbie bs outta the way. I get why you're pissed man, however I am from Vegas and race the pro class. I've raced local stuff out there many times and I've never been cheated out of money. If anything they've actually done a good job at getting us local pros paid. This is just my experience out there and this was not during an mran run event.
Now to me, it sounds like a misunderstanding. Sounds like the promoter you spoke to was from mran and you needed to talk to the real money man who is Bryce,vegasmxer260, to get things square. Oh btw, you don't count gate fee or extra practice fees as your entry. I dunno if they do it different in desert races or you're boy is a new pro but entry fee is what you pay at sign ups for that one class.
Now I have heard of this thing happening at other mran races to pros but I've never raced desert so I dunno. Get ahold of Bryce and I'm sure you'll get your money. They're not stingy there, trust me.
Sorry you didn't get fully paid on site. That blows.

I finally got to the bottom of it. There was a mistake made yesterday, and I can honestly say it was a mistake, and not an attempt to keep his money. If Killy is still in town, i can meet up with him today to fix it, or email me your address and i will put a check in the mail. I understand your frustration, and i apologize for the inconvenience. Don't worry - i will make it right.

If $450 was paid out the promoter took care of his obligations. If he chose to pay 1st and 2nd, than that is the promoters choice. If I was the promoter, I would have also paid 1st and 2nd they way he did, but would have announced it in the riders meeting.
Thanks to Boulder City to putting together that last Pro Race with Borkenhagen taking home $3k and a nice Rockwell! Don't see too many $10k pro payouts.

This should not have been made public. Obviously there was a mistake and the promoter did the right thing and corrected it -- but this all could have been avoided if the promoter was contacted in private.

Boulder City MX- If you advertise 150% pro pay payback you don't tell riders after the race you can't afford the full amount
Boulder City MX actually stepped up and took care of this! it's great to have a track step up and pay out when MRAN failed to make the pay-out that they had advertised all over their flyers posted at the track on race day. They actually hand delivered the cash to Killy this morning... Wow amazing customer service - Boulder City MX way to go!

Where did you learn to read??

She never included the other fees into the equation..

Then.. It was brought up a few more time, that it was not part of the equation..
But still...you don't get it.

Thanks for pointing out what an entry fee is, for us non pros.

Well she was saying she was out 130 and got paid 150 so she only made 20. Sounded like it was part of the bottom line equation but maybe I didn't understand fully so sorry but you'd be surprised at what people don't know. I get that they were just wanting to show how much they were out of pocket but I dunno what it really has to do with what was paid back but whatever it's all good and sounds like the kid got paid and that's all that really matters about this entirely over blown thread that probably shouldve never really been posted.

All just my opinion of course

Boulder City MX stepped up and made it right. They should not have been the ones targeted here. Boulder City went out of it's way to correct the problem and we truly appreciate it. It sounds like MRAN is a separate promoter. It just goes to show you tracks need to be careful who they let promote events at their facilities.

Yes it is a bummer that we went this route on the forum but we were left very opportunity to do anything else. As we stated above we tried emailing direct.

Cased Closed. Let the thread fade away.

Yes he was talked to after the race. He simply said he could not afford to pay the payout.
Well then. This is why I asked........ twice, if the promoter was contacted and we were told that yes indeed the promoter was talked to and informed the racer that they couldn't afford the payout. So, who's making shit up here at the expense of an obviously stand up promoter?

I think it was pretty obvious how this was going to turn out just by reading the subject line.

The thing I don't get is the 10.00 practice fee on race day! I have never had to pay a practice fee on race day. Ony a gate fee and sign up fees. Is this standard out west?

it funny how peeps like you think everything should be a secret.
( and you have every right to state your opinion and I respect it )
but, here's mine..............................................

Let me put it this way. I will give you a few examples and see if you see my point.

1. People who run businesses are not perfect and make mistakes.

2. People who run MX Facilities and Promote Races offer 'Pros" MONEY to help drive more spectators to there events. You should have seen how many showed up here when pastrana, canard and bartram showed up, At least 3 times more than any weekend in the last 6 months.

You with me so far?

3. The pros fill out entry forms with contact info correct????

4. If the man running the show can make sure the fukin lights are off and the gates shut at the end of the day then why the hell can't he make 3 little phone calls and make sure the pro's got paid?

You can bet your ass he checked with the print shop and made sure his flyers had the correct date, and correct payout info before they went to print!

If the guy made a mistake and some kid/guy gets on here bitchin and then it gets worked out whats the harm in that???

Its not what you did, its what you do about it a

nd If I make a mistake I hope its not a secret when I do something to correct it.
