I’m an XL in all helmets and have never been able to find a TLD that’s big enough. A bummer because I like them a lot.
There are some bangers on Motosport.com right now that are XXL on clearance ..I'm taking the shot!
Won’t be disappointed in the TLD helmet line. The SE5 is by far one of the most comfortable helmet on the market right now. I have XL in the TLD SE5, a few Bell Moto 10s, and Alpinestars SM10. All of the helmets are carbon and all have their own feels and different characteristics you could say but anyone that puts the TLD on when they come to my shop and very impressed with how comfortable it is. Hope that helped some. Plus Troy is just the raddest dude ever.
I’m a XL in the Carbon SE5 but not the composite not sure what’s different but the composite didn’t fit right. I’m a XL in all other helmets and the TLD SE5 Carbon was the most comfortable.

My son has been in a TLD SE5 for a few years now and they seem to fit true to size. This year we are changing his pads from medium to large, hes 5'10" 155 pounds so about right for his overall size. I am wearing an SE4 in a XXL and ive been happy with it, considering grabbing an SE5 for myself
I wore a medium Arai for many years. Got a TLD and after test-fitting, decided on a large. Even that ended up being too small for me - so bad that I stopped wearing it. Ouch! My cranium! If I ever get a TLD again, I'm going XXL and stretching it out on a bowling ball for a month before wearing it.
It's too bad, because I love the looks of that helmet.
I had a composite (don't remember what SE version) also in XL and it put pressure on top of my head. Could only wear it for about 20 minutes at a time. The graphics on it were great as expected though. That was a few years ago so maybe no issue now.
FWIW I have an SM-10, SE5 composite and moto 10 Spherical all size large and the Troy Lee is the most comfortable.
I loveeeee my tld helmets and im a round, not oval head shape.. I wear an xl in tld se5 carbon... and find roughly I wear an xl or XXL in other brands
I went from 6d to TLD. I wear a large and the helmet fit well with the exception of the cheek pads, which squeezed my cheeks like a chipmunk and resulted in a headache in short order. I was able to find some thinner cheek pads from a different size of the same helmet, and like the helmet now. Super light. My only real gripe are the chinstrap pads, which in my opinion have too much overlap and become bulky.
In my opinion you also can’t beat the color/scheme choices with TLD. I loved my 6d’s but for me, the colors and finishes just weren’t my style.
