I confess, I think Dave Kimmey and Steve Cox are good dudes, based on personal contact with them (doesn't mean I haven't told both of them they have rocks in their heads many times).  But I concede both of them could be tediously and relentlessly opinionated on the boards, and used insults in their bag of tricks sometimes.   I get why the door closed here when they wore out their welcome.

The board has and always has had a pretty wide range of personalities, most I appreciate and some I don't, but I know there are people who have their axes in hand for me.   That's life.

It does seem pretty selective, if not hypocritical, to slam the mods but celebrate some guys being kicked off.  If it's supposed to be anything goes here then nobody should be booted.

I respectfully disagree.

I have had a few disagreements with ML512 before,  but IMHO he's very level headed, very fair with how he doles out clicks/ time-outs and runs things very well.

Gibby was at his best when he ran Motodrive.

I'd agree but IMO it has NOTHING to do with GuyB or ML.

I've been lurking this forum since 2010 along with Thumpertalk. Switched to an "anon" account when I entered the corporate world in case some nut case who disagreed with me on an argument about tires wants to call my employer lol. My point is, it seems to me the days of "fun and enthusastic duscussion" are largely gone on forums. Facebook (and all the political discourse over the last 8 years) has just made it impossoble it seems.

Back in the day it seems like you would have a 5 page thread with real discussion without people calling you an idiot and assuming your political party because you don't like a certain rider.

idk times have changed, I'm only 30 and I feel like I've witnessed a whole generation come and go on these forums.

I’m sure he’s still a douche.

Should I start a seat bouncing thread? Cox would not be able to resist.

"Back in the day",  Ringer, SuperRat and Mutt would have hammered you senseless the first 15 minutes after you joined.  And if you got through that part and still hadnt left the site,  the rest of the monkeys woulda joined in and followed up with relentless hazing.

I almost feel like Yamaboy was the pioneer of moto memes, but Alphado was up there too.

Never met him in person, but Mutt always seemed like good people. He's made a couple of appearances over the years under different names. Hell, he may have even posted in this thread under his latest name.

Mutt's posted repeatedly in this thread.

Buster Scruggs is his latest reincarnation.

He's probably picking out his next "new" username when this one gets clipped.

It was never "anything goes" here on anything even mildly political. It was always anything goes for one side, and nothing goes for the other. GuyB banned/chased some of the best people away from this forum due to HIS politics. Not theirs.

I’m uncertain how this Mutt character hurt you, but please quit following me around with your lack of internet sleuthing abilities.

Unlike you, I was required to give my legal name, phone number, and access to my bank account to post here.

You're a funny guy Mutt.

You sure seem to know a lot of the old timers and history of Vital (and it's predecessors) for a guy who joined on 12/01/2025.

But I digress. 😂

Nice job of projection. Why don’t you list your last five usernames, than we’ll talk. I kinda like you already, not because you shine, because you’re mine! Stalker.
