I don’t have a picture, but I had an external fixator with 6 pins on my femur. When the swelling went down enough for the threads to be exposed, the pain was almost unbearable. So was getting them removed by a ryobi drill and no local

That is three pins and five wires. My doc thought I was a pussy, I made him knock me out to take it off.

I was 14 and normally would have taken that option. After going in every two weeks, for 8ish weeks with the false hopes of getting them out, when the time finally came to where he said I was ready, getting put under would have had to be the following week and I was tired of being in pain.

So he ripped them out and it rebroke on its own 3 days later so I got an internal fixator the second time around lol

This is more like "Worst Moto Hardware"  5 years ago today I ate shit and got this wonderful repair done. Yes the top pictures are the "Fixed" X Rays. (Fuck Inland Valley Medical Center). The complete laundry list was, chipped tooth and hole chomped in tongue, grade 3 separated left shoulder, 2 cracked (not broken🙏) vertebrae, "Open book" pelvis fracture, femur broke in 2 places and a destroyed knee. They had to do a revision, the revision got infected, and that led to a non union. The end result was 7 surgeries over 2 years. Luckily the hip implants somehow didn't come loose. On a positive note it got me into emtb riding and I love it and can't get enough. Plus I'm back riding motorcycles too. Having a cool wife that also likes to ride helped. If you have a good doctor and surgical team send them a Christmas card !  Sorry for the gross infection picture but this seemed like the thread for nasty pics, so heres mine.

Hey bud, those pictures made my skin crawl. That's a nasty laundry list and I'm glad you have healed up.

Thanks me too lol. My wife deserves a shout out she was rock solid through the whole ordeal. Here’s her comment on one of the x rays where my nuts were visible 😂IMG 8800 3.jpeg?VersionId=xiP

^😳 There’s more metal than bone in that ankle ee-ouch…. Makes me wonder why the technology to replace the whole bone doesn’t exist yet.

Wow...those are gruesome. Never had anything like that thank goodness. I blew out my left knee in 82. I was put in 9 different casts. They don't even put you in cast anymore. He is one with hinges.
