Random on the dusty track: There's been some ridiculous weather the past week in the Gold Coast/Brisbane area. Almost daily supercell thunderstorms have been wreaking havoc in the area. In the days prior and even on the day of the race, I believe there was risk for these cells to develop. So my guess is they purposely left it a little on the dry side, anticipating some rain? (that obviously never came).
While this is true. Chase himself has said that he isn't at the offseason races point in his career and really hasn't tried to do any outside of MXoN. So I don't think Kawi is holding him back here.

I don't know as I am not a fan or a hater. I don't like him enough to cheer for him against some others, but I don't hate him to the point of discrediting everything he is doing and accomplishing.
All I can say, is that on the stupidity scoreboard, the Deegan haters and Deegan superfans are tied for insanity. On the one side we have people that think he is the second coming of Jesus, and on the other we have 55 yr old men saying that they "hate" a 19 y/o they don't know and wishing terrible things on him.

The winelands have good soil but it's full of rocks and is about 80 kilometers away.
Good soil quarries are in the Malmesbury area which is about a 100 km away (62miles)
It's gonna be ridiculously expensive to bring it into the city.

Is it just me or is there zero hype for the next 2 rounds? Are Anderson and Craig going to duke it out and make it interesting? Max looks like he's shooting fish out of a barrel in the 250's. The fights behind him have been good so hopefully that continues.

Yeah getting the top riders/wildcards for the first three rounds and then having a weaker field for the last two rounds isn't optimal, but any racing is better than no racing!
