Slowie should put a shirt on and go see a dentist. Just look like he addresses his personal hygiene, in general. He might get a little more respect if he presented himself more professionally. Dude looks like he smells something awful

I like Joe enough to want him to make his own, educated decision on whether or not a return to this brutal sport is even the proper choice. I’m a big fan, and whatever is best for his long term health will be the right decision. He has a long life ahead of him, and I’d like to see him healthy, whichever path he chooses.

so this is example #894849 of something very news-worthy happening in our sport, rumors begin to fly, and some "lower level" media guy reports it with the disclaimer of "This is what I'm hearing. No confirmation at all" (basically). Vital crucifies this person as being human garbage.

Then - BAM - the news is confirmed. No stories from anyone within the REAL "moto-media" (who you know were hearing the same rumors AND because of their bromance relationships have almost immediately confirmed the story is true).

Then what do we get? PR from the team.

Downvote me.

Nobody who actually gets paid to deliver news is going to release anything without properly looking into it, especially when it's a serious subject like Jo's situation.

If you think real media adheres to truth, accuracy, facts, objectiveness… and that sort of thing, you’re delusional.

As rational as it is to reconsider this sport after an injury this severe, we rarely see top guys leave after a broken neck or back if they are able to recover.  It’s always a little surprising to me but also a testament to these dudes drive and willpower.  It’s pretty wild

This looks scary invasive, are there any side effects like pain, numbness? Will Beaumer be back at 100%? Riding a SX track with all that hardware on your spine has to put second thoughts on your mind.

Oh yeah. I have a numb butt and numbness tingling down the outside of my right leg to the last two toes on my right foot. No motor deficits. I'll take it. It coulda/shoulda been way, way worse. Every step's a blessing. Still riding a Husky FE @ 68yo. No SX stuff. I did a brutal hard enduro ride in Kauai Labor Day. Found out I could get up and dust off from some pretty hard getoffs. Diamond Don's Dualsport/Adventure Ride in Jefferson a couple of weeks back. I'm up for any type of single-track woods riding. I'll keep doing it til ???

(Don't tell my neuro surgeon.)

LOL. Thanks. I was 58 when I got hurt. I guess I'm just too stupid to do anything else.

Or, as one of my peers is fond of saying, "You can either get busy living. Or get busy dying. What's it gonna be?".

I should have specified moto media. World news and such? ya, that's a different story, hard to sort out what is the truth these days.

you're missing the point. Moto media CHOOSES not to report on things it knows is "news". That means it has nothing to do with "truth, accuracy, facts".
