Interesting article about the date clashes for AusX series finale and WSX, and some back story on the former CEO's time at WSX and his thoughts on their future. https://www.motoonline.com.au/2025/11/25/the-conflicts-between-wsx-and-ausx-that-cant-be-ignored/

Sorry Bailey saying they should have been “…more humble,…” and then blaming others for that approach, lost any credibility in the rest of his words for me.

How long can WSX really exist.

8000 spectators at $100 a ticket and you have Tomac, Deegan, Kenny etc

Numbers don't stack and never will.
You can only throw money at it for a certain timeframe before it falls over.

Obvious beef with Bailey too.

MA should of blocked having two events on the same weekend, piss poor as usual!

I don’t know, I never felt that was Adam’s Style, but Tony Cochrane (spelling) I could see the original approach being 💯 his way of doing things

I posted it here when WSX started and everyone said AME didn’t know how to run events, that the local Aussie series and AusX were proof that they could

I’m glad some Journalists from the US and UK living in the US seen first hand on the weekend just exactly what type of event Bailey and his team can put on when completely in their control

And it’s not just AusX the Aussie series has gotten better every year and this season has been better again

Oh I agree Bailey can run a bloody good event, it’s just that when he was with WSX he talked it up more than anyone from what I saw. But now he’s trying to blame others, or at least that’s how it sounds to me in that article.

Motorcycling Australia are a joke. The number of cock ups over the years and piss poor planning not just in SX/MX but road racing too, they need to clean house and start over.

Having a national series that only visits 1 side of the country is pathetic

the fact MA let them put WSX in gold coast on the same weekend as the final Aus SX round which is held in conjunction with the biggest motorsport series in the southern hemisphere is dumbfounding , i would have loved to hear Adam's phone call after that,

Maybe I'm remembering wrong, but wasn't he the 2nd round of management for WSX and really walked back the original message of "watch out, we're taking over!", saying they needed to start small and stay in the fall months?

Yeh I know right. I don't understand why they don't go to Tasmania.

Now if you're talking of going to WA it makes zero logistical and financial sense to go there.

As of June 2024, the state has 2.965 million inhabitants—10.9 percent of the national total. WA takes up roughly 1/3rd of Oz's land mass.

Let's say Brisbane is the capital of MX in Australia. It's a 4300km (2600miles) to Manjimup. That's a huge cost for such a small sport.

AME do an awesome job with their events, Bailey is more humble than Cochrane for sure.

Itll be interesting to see the splits of Aussie journalists and what event they go to this weekend, I know Grant is doing WSX and your doing Adelaide

Yeah WA is far, but all the teams and a shit load of privateers manage to get there every year for manji. WSX had 2 sold out races in Perth last year, the fans want it and will show up in droves. Webster is from WA, so is Minear. It's a shit look not to visit for either series and just a cop out to pull the logistics card for an 8 round series over 6 months. Double up the MX round with manji and double up the SX round after Adelaide. Or make either one the first race of the season so the long haul is over and done with right at the start

Agree. WA has too many proper good MX tracks not to go there.

Would love to see Manji on the schedule

I think most are going to WSX,

Ill be in Adelaide, my hometown town and really for what I am focusing on with my venture it's the Aussie series that is more important to me, though man would I like to see Tomac, Roczen, Webb and Deegan all on track.

I think most of the bigger, old-school Aussie media (D.A / ADB ) will be at WSX and use Aussie SX PR for their content on that. MC News will probably use PR with both events, Gaz at Fullnoise will run press stuff at both and ill flick him anything he needs image-wise, Still help where I can and may go back to doing more with Fullnoise, but want to establish my stuff first Smile

Pretty sure MotoOnline will have teams on the ground at both events. They have their Aussie site and their international site and a pretty big team / group of people to lean on, though I think both Nic and Alex will be at WSX.

Mental4Moto, much like me, will focus on the Aussie stuff and is in Adelaide this weekend.

Inside Dirt will have people at both.

Then I think all the freelance Video and Photo guys, and social-based media that is popping up for the most part are all heading to the Gold Coast.

Some interesting comments from Mossy here. AusX open cost him $1500 to race, yet the next weekend he's getting paid and making money from WSX.

Also Kenny speaking yet again about wanting to race the whole series but only being "allowed" to race 3 rounds. We'll never know the whole truth but from his perspective, he seems bewildered at the situation. I want WSX to succeed but they need to get their shit together and figure out if they want a full championship or a series of exhibition races. It's not a good look when the guy with the red plate is pulling out midway through the series not by his own choice.

Yes, i was thinking about making a post about what Moss said. I very much appreciate him talking about this. Its nice to know what motivates the guys to do one race or series over another.
