"Hansen is looking at a title. Wait, what?"

Edited Date/Time 1/27/2012 12:44am
From BROtocross: http://brotocross.blogspot.com/2010/11/hansen-is-looking-at-title-wait-…

"Yes, JOSH Hansen is on the verge of winning a title. I know it's an Australian Supercross title, but still, something has to be said. Two years ago the guy's career was DEAD, no question about it. Like, deader than J-Law's is now. Hansen is doing it right (for the most part). Getting in with the big time, big money energy drink sponsor early, star-fucking his way through Hollywood, and milking that Monster relationship to get a ride with Mitch. Well done, Hanny, well done. He had everyone outsmarted, he went around the normal route and found a shortcut better than Nico Izzi at Unadilla. Hansen has just continued to silence the haters throughout the past year. Of course, he did have that slip-up in that interview with Racer X a couple of weeks ago http://www.racerxonline.com/article/5-minutes-with-josh-hansen102910.as…. I know it's been said several times already, but that was fucking horrible. It made Jake Weimer's interview that I posted from Transworld http://brotocross.blogspot.com/2010/10/you-know-jake-weimer.html look like a debate answer from that guy in Thank You For Smoking. I'm sure he heard this a lot, but Hanny, don't say "shit" or "fuck" in your answers in an interview. It's like calling a cop "dude"; it's just a verbal transaction from which no one involved will benefit. You get paid a lot of money to represent people well. With pretty much every answer of Hansen's that I read, I heard the voice of the principal from Billy Madison throwing in his words of wisdom:"

I just dont like the dudes style of writing. First he drags in j-law. Then he has to bring up Izzis deal. Like a scavenger or somthing.

Um yeah, no where in there does it say Hansen is not a good rider.

And as it said in the J-Law post, I love it when he does well. Izzi though, not a fan, he cheated his balls off at Unadilla.

Two exclamation points? That's pretty tough. Or at least awfully emphatic. Wink

I like how he advises Hanny not to use profanity in an R rated blog post

I think the dude is killing it. If you don't like what he has to say don't read it.

The problem is, people keep posting it here.

Honestly, it just reads like a digest version of all posts that I'd rather not read here.

Apologies, GuyB. I only posted it because of the Aussie SX connection. Just tryin' to give our little down-under series as much exposure as possible - call me parochial.

I've never heard of this BROtocross before. Clearly, there's history there. In future, I'll endeavour to be more selective about what I cut'n'paste.

I can't wait to see Hansen ride he has stuck to his contract to race in Australia unlike Reed Stewart Villopoto and now Tedesco( i guess he isn't coming). I hope he wins the title then wins whatever coast he is riding. As for the bad languge who cares, at least he just doesn't thank his sponsors and say "super pumped" that shit is getting old fast.

Difference between Brotocross and Hanny is Hanny gets paid to represent people properly, Brotocross does not.

I really thought that interview was funny as hell. People are so uptight and easily irritable. Must be economic situation.

Too bad it's Australia. Too bad he's going to struggle just like he did last year. The guy barely averaged a top 10 finish last year. I guess when you're the son of Donnie Hansen, it will get you a few extra chances. Give someone else a chance on one of the best bikes built.

Actually check supercross.com for the results. He went 8,20,4,7,11,17,6,1,2. Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't that average out to 8th. Las Vegas doesn't count for points so it would make the average 9.

Who started "haters gonna hate"? Whoever it is should be kicked in the balls. If not for the "what have you done" response (^^see previous post^^), "haters gonna hate" would be the single most elementary and thoughtless response on the inter webs. Akin to "I know you are but what am I".

Carry on.
