Create a free account and add the VIN numbers to your garage. Should give you the same history I believe, for free. Worked for me a few months back at least.

Sometimes you can find sellers on eBay for $5, but eBay has been cracking down on those listings. At least for the time being, they're allowed on Etsy. I bought one there a couple months ago, easy peasy.
When we went to trade in our Honda HRV the dealer pulled up the Carfax report and they made it look like it had been in 2 huge accidents with damage on the entire car which was total BS. Dealer tried to beat the shit out of the trade in value because of it till we were walking out.
While I was out of town at a race someone bumped into the bicycle rack on the back of the HRV while they were sitting at a stop light. My wife freaked out and took it in to have it checked out a zero damage was found. That was major accident number 1
We had minor hail damage that dings were barely noticeable and my wife insisted on taking both the CRV and HRV in for repair. It ended up totaling the CRV. They fixed the HRV dings but that then showed massive damage on the entire car in the Carfax report.
I do not trust anything it says.
I agree, I had a truck get hit that if it was not for the covid vehicle debacle it would have been totaled. Frame bent, axle bent, major body damage. I traded it in after it was fixed and looked at the carfax for fun and it was listed as one accident with minor damage. My estimates for repair were 23-25k and they found more damage when they started fixing it. I will never believe Carfax
Carfax is not liable for inaccurate report details. Ask me how I know…
