Never hurts to have new tracks opening up, especially given the fact that several have closed over the past several years, especially in FL. There used to be a sand track in Polk County, Bartow MX, that closed 5 or 6 years ago (could be even longer at this point). Even longer ago, there was a pretty safe but fun sand track called Mulberry MX. I was a very young kid at the time, but my dad used to ride there often and absolutely loved the track owner, who also did all of the maintenance - Lionel Hernandez. Sadly, he died a horrible death due to his tractor running him over. This had to have been around 2007 or 2008.

Anyways, central FL needs more tracks. It's also cool to see a non-sand track, as that's mostly what we get down here.

We honestly don’t have any real “sand tracks” here anymore. Bartow was one of the last true sand tracks. Lazy Springs just also closed which was a sand track.

Looks amazing! And miles away from any residences - this is how you do it!

Florida kicks ass! Plenty of places to ride / race…great beaches, restaurants, state parks, golf courses, Mtn. Bike parks…..I95 is like death race 2000 in some parts and appears to be a high rate of gun violence but otherwise, good times….

That is Bone Valley MX/ATV Park. There is one track there now and this is new additional track built by Dream Trax. It is a nice tame safe track, good for us older guys and vintage bikes as well. I don’t think it will have big jumps for all of you fast guys, none the less a good place to ride. I believe it is only $15 to ride since it owned by the county. It is clay and not an old school Florida sand track.

There used to be so many within an hours drive growing up. Even the lesser known like Sand Mountain, Cracker Lake/Countyline, FastTrax, Dirtyfoot, Forest Glenn were all great tracks. Those are the few that came to mind and none of those are around anymore.
