RV always looks fast and on the edge.
RD looks slower but is very smooth and his lap times are very similar to RV.

I predict that RV will win A1 but RD will win the title.

So you think CR and JS are out of the equation?

No, he just thinks they'll be too busy taking each other out to be a factor :-)

don't forget Trey Canard is in this. If Dungey did it last year why can't Trey do the same thing, He was on the box a couple of times this year in the 450 SX class which was his 1st year . I think there are so many un answered questions out there that makes this title race to hard to pick and very volitile to predict who will be champ all i know is the real winner out of all of this is going to be us the FANS and i am so ready for it and can't wait til Jan 8 . Fingers crossed for a healthy pre season for all the riders so when the gates drop at A1 on Jan 8 we have a full gate of all the BEST riders and then all questions will be answered and the REAL BENCH RACING can start til then it's all speculations

Patience will be the key for JS and RV, they have everyone covered in speed, but thier desire to win gets the better of them at times, they have to match RD and CR in consistency. 1 DNF means having to win 9 races to make up those points.

To his credit JS actually accomplished that against Mr. 2nd place CR in 09

Nope.
The only thing that is certain is that I cant wait till A1. 2011 SX is going to be off the chart.

I give RV three rounds before he tries too hard and hurts himself again. Unless he's changed, he still will ride with that "I will gas it harder than you" 250f mentality that will bite you on a 450.

Amazing prediction.

You do realize that RV has crashed out of the 450 class exactly ONE TIME.. right?

Yeah, that NEVER happens.

He has crashed out once out of two 450 SX attempts.

50%

Unless he has changed he has a 50% chance of crashing out.

What constitutes faster? Qualifying times, fastest lap in the race, average fastest lap times, winning by the largest margin, who passed the most riders to win a race, who got the most holeshots, who led the most laps, who won the championship? If you say something enough people accept it as true..

check the stats and you may be surprised as to who is the "fastest" rider from last year, and it may not be the ones you just mentioned.. Heck the fastest rider may be KW or Grant or maybe just maybe its Ryan Dungey. Depends on how you manipulate the stats..

RV is so awsome, he is a clutch rider. When that gate drops for a main he is wide open! Can't wait to see him racing again. I think in straight up speed he is one of few that could run with stewart. I personally think this new season will kind of take even more credibility away from the championships last year.... GO RV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The sample size is too small to draw any meaningful statistical conclusions. Withold judgement until the end of the 2011 Supercross season. Good luck to all.

Bobby - RV is one year older and one year faster too...

Everyone knows what he is talking about when talking about dabbing the leg as people who ride dirtbikes, let alone race them for a living.

RV is just not scared to say what's on his mind and we all know this. It's kinda his game, but he back's up everything, and his 125 titles show it. 2 bad rookie years in 450 doesn't justify much for his career, he knows how to WIN the main event. And even you have said it.

I'm not arguing with you but it's the same on both sides imo in one year older and faster.

I see.
Again, what moto rider, especially pro rider doesn't feel like that? That's his game and he always backs it up.

He's strong.

track crutches are closely related to track crashes. Wink

it's like this unc...if ryan and ryan were professional free throw shooters ryan has about 25000 more free throw shots under his belt than the other ryan does, which means ryan is the best bet to win the free throw contest for all the marbles. ryan has it in the bag no doubt.

when that boy is on...hes a machine- Hes lucky he is racing in todays environment and with todays medecine..Js too just look at Hurricane and RJ..both had similiar injuries only to never fully recover(but thats probably a whole new thread).

He looks good and my guess is that the Kawi track doesnt change much..his mechanic said something to the effect he's already bettert than when he was winning last year and I suspect that they have the times to prove it..... I am curious how far off Weimer and Canard will be It's been a while (not counting RD last year at A1) since we have had some Hungry Rookie's that know deep down they can do it. If we see RD and RV win these others will follow
