BlueLion,
I've finally made a proper start on building up my '76 250 with a '77 kit. (Thank to Holly for sorting one for me!). I noticed in some of the literature I have that it mentions a cylinder head steady. Obviously, the head has the mounting point cast in ready to go.
Was there an "official" Mugen bracket? Or was it left up to the customer to fabricate one? (That is how it comes across from the literature) Have you ever seen one? Or was it a suggestion that no one ever actually bothered with?
Don't suppose the optional heavy duty gears are easy to find either!?

What happened to the Tripes RC250 that Roeder claimed?
Looks like it’s part of Terry Good’s collection

Has that museum opened yet?
It remains in the artist’s rendering phase, as best I can tell,
My 77 mugen 250 dose not have a head stay.
We are currently moving bikes to the museum building.
It is in the Terry Good collection. We are currently moving the bikes to the museum building.
I’m looking forward to visiting.

Do you have a bigger / higher resolution version of this pic?? It's got some really interesting bits on it!
Stevie
Sorry Steve, no i don't have a better pic.
But from what i can tell it is very similar to my 77 250.
Do you have some more/close-ups of this bike? Really beautiful and interesting. I've not seen a "Mugenized" 76 or 77 CR250 before.
No worries. I only ask as there is clearly a head steady on it. Going from the cylinder head to the front down tube. As a machinist I find all that kinda stuff interesting.
Finding pics of the 76/77 Mugen 250's is hard enough! (Holly has sent me quite a few, but there is maybe 2 on Google!) But that's the only one I've ever seen with that part fitted.
Stevie
I found some a better quality picture of the bike.
