Interesting that Matterley isn't locked down for the GB round.

Opening round is 22/02 but then a week in between that and the second round, so the opener is probably not South America. Very early to be starting in Europe, are they returning to the Middle East maybe?

Some rumours that the British round would be at....Monster Mountain! Barely a British Championship level track never mind MXGP.

Rumor is that the first round will be in Oman. It should be there already in 2021 if im not mistaken.

Funny how many teams (even factory supported ones) told publicly how a 10 race calendar for EMX125/250 is too much - due not only financial reasons, but also giving the young riders time to go to school - and Infront publishes a calendar with 12 races each. They totally don’t give a flying fuck.

Montevarchi, that has been a while. Is it a good GP track? Lacapelle Marival is fun too. Maybe I’ll go to that one.

Agueda in end of June. I think they now try to go for a dry race after the misfortune last two years

6 WMX races.. was it 5 this year?

Personally I think they should have kept EMXOpen/2T and go with EMX125/250 for 8-9 races.

As if they ever cared about teams or riders. 😂

A WMX race in Australia is criminal too.

Also how do they come up with the crazy schedule for the last 3 races again? Türkiye > China > Australia in 3 weeks totally is insane.

Yep, the last 3 races of this 2026 calendar will once again be a nightmare for the private teams and riders... 100% empty gates.

Nice to see Lacappel on the schedule. Also nice to see Montevarchi. Why is Argentina TBD?

Said this elsewhere too, but also only gives US based riders one week between smx final and  mxdn in France.

10 races for the emx250 is way too much.....it's not surprising that you often have a empty starting gate in mx2.....I would add the 85cc with 5 races

It's actually 12 races for EMX250 and also for EMX125.

Its near impossible to do the full emx250 season if you are not factory supported (or have a massive wallet).

If you are from let's say Belgium you are in a good spot based on kilometers to be made. But still you have to do 17.000 km in just 4 rounds (portugal, spain, latvia, turkey) and probably 6 weeks from home. Just having a mechanic for the training days in that period is tough to arrange as a non-factory rider.

But yeah i dont feel that sorry for these teams and riders. Imo if the majority would all say lets simply do the 8 rounds 'nearby' and skip the other rounds then i'm sure things will change. But what you see is that all the teams complained about adding Finland last year and i think all went except for the GasGas spain team.
