Does anyone else remember Anaheim 2015 Trey jumping on Chad and wrecking them both, then Chad retaliated in the very next corner and "gently" guides Canard off the track and is promptly Black Flagged for doing so......Yet Deegan is allowed to repeatedly torpedo Jo and the joke that is the AMA does nothing at all.

Now just for make it clear, I am no Deegan hater, I used to think the kid was bad ass up until this pathetic display of being a spoiled brat sore loser. Danger-d1ck  made himself look like a complete moron on one of the biggest stages ever and that cruel mistress called karma gave him exactly what he deserved.

I mean, Reed was not the AMA's favorite. He was never afraid to let his opinions be known of how things were operating and I feel like they were looking for any reason to slap him down a bit. (Yes, that's just my own speculation.)

I still feel like that black flag was weird. They both got up and going and it wasn't like Reed torpedoed Canard. You can't retaliate though.

Deegan should have been black flagged the lap before the final hit went down. Just my opinion. I'm curious if anyone is going to actually come out and say "we were 100% about to black flag him." If not, tells me all I need to know...

Canard went inside where Chad had been going outside for the 5 laps that Chad had been holding Trey up. Chad went inside in that lap because he could feel Trey right on him and Trey landed on him.

Chad then got up and and rode into Trey pushing him into a tuff block ending Treys night. He didn't gently guide anything.

I do, however,  remember Chad slowing up for James in Vegas and pushing him off the track, also into tuff blocks, to get him to fall so Chad could win the championship. And, Chad didn't get any penalty.

Without getting on YouTube right now... I distinctly remember Reed catching Stewart (because Stewart knew he didn't need to win), following him for maybe a lap, then trying to take a shot. After he took that shot, he just rode his own race to the finish.

So, the only "slowing up", I believe, was just Reed riding Stewart's rear tire for a bit, then continuing on. I also keep it in mind that Reed may have rightfully (or wrongfully) felt slighted with some of the drama leading up to Vegas. Cross jumping, the Chiz incident, etc...

I'm not defending Chad's attempted take out in Vegas, but I don't feel like it was that big of an ordeal. He could have taken the same shot at Villopoto in 2011 in Vegas, but there was a bit more respect between them.

I feel like if they were going to black flag Deegan but he did not come around to the flagger's station because of the crash, they would have DQed him post-race instead.

Yeah he was passing James. How could he be "slowing up" as he was passing him? Dont remember him pushing him into tuff blocks either. Bumped him off the track and kept it going. Completely laughable anyone bringing that situation up trying to defend Haiden

Canard had it coming, I liked it when Reed punted him off the track.

I remember that well, probably better than Chad @crtwotwo himself. From the Team Mgrs. Tower I saw everything almost before it all even happened. I don’t condone Chads reaction to Trey racing like a spaz, cause Trey was. No denying that. But what’s kinda funny here is the FIM Steward who threw the Black Flag completely over reacted as much as Chad did. Goose & I argued with the FIM guy relentlessly to no avail. But really right or wrong, & after my almost 50 yrs in the Sport, that set a president for a Black Flag situation to me. Yes, in Motorsports both 2 & 4 wheel, there’s that famous saying, “Rubbings Racing”, & in Vegas that 2nd SX Moto saw Deegan’s antics 3 times. With all the coverage available to the AMA guys, before the 3rd instance & his broken collarbone happened, the AMA should’ve Black Flagged him from the Race & himself. That was clear. The 5 Points deal to me once again taints the AMA for their inconsistency in governing their own Races.
That was weak at best.
Really ridiculous ALL the way around.

Because James slowed down to let him pass. And I'm not defending Haiden. OP brought up Reed.

Gotcha. I'll have to go back and rewatch it. It was a solid bump I do remember that

Trey wasn't racing like a spaz. Chad was all over the track holding him up because Trey was faster. In that corner Chad had been doubling to the outside then railing the left hand berm. It was a tight left hander with two lines. The one Chad been taking or going outside on the right hander and jumping onto the small table the rolling down and taking the inside of the left hander.  When they came back around, Chad cornered to jump to the outside, but felt Trey coming so he doubled across to the inside all the way over the little table, which nobody had been doing because you couldnt stop in time to make the turn. Trey was already committed to jumping to the inside to block pass Chad. There wasn't anything he could do because he was in the air before he could see that Chad had jumped across to the inside.

He shouldn't have gotten black flagged. They should've waited until the end of the race and docked positions or points, which is a lesson the AMA wisely learned from that FIM official.

And the big difference between your boy and Deegan is that Chad ended someone else's night. Not his own. And it was the beginning of the year for like 4th place, not for the championship at the finale.

Trey was king of riding like a spaz and taking others down with his bad racing decisions. He may not do it on purpose but its like his mind would short circuit and then he would do something stupid and takeout himself and or someone else.

I guess people see what they want to see.
But I’m with you. Also, while Trey’s in the air, as soon as Chad touched down, he turned left right in front of Trey.

What was he supposed to do?

Edit:
Just to be clear, I’m not saying the crash was Chad’s fault either, just a racing incident.
But Chad’s retaliation was simply childish.
