Crazy amount off work they have put into this place, and must say its looks amazing! Dirt looks really good to. Wonder how deep/sandy it is.

We have to wait and see how it races with bikes on track, but hats off so far!

I'm pretty disappointed what he said about the number of riders etc. Basically he doesn't care if there is 18 or 35 riders on the gate, and prize money is out of the question as he said. Not like we didn't already know that tho

So on a positive note,

Protraxx have done a cracking job on the track with the soil they had to work with the track looks awesome.

The reason the track is in the NT is the government pumped huge money into the event so no use discussing other options.

I was at both of the Broadford rounds of the MXGP back in the day and Reedy, McFarlane etc all got overseas rides out of it and to hear the crowd go nuts when McFarlane and Byrner holeshot was insane.

Pathetic the Aussie support from teams, CDR, Honda etc should be there. Webster would have done well and maybe earnt a ride.

Our half arsed SX series isn't really that big and surely getting some worldwide recognition would of been good.

I dont understand why he just does not say: look for us 20 fast riders in mx2 at european races is enough. If more want to wildcard good for them, but for Infront 20 is enought to put on a show.

I dont agree with that 'vision', but at least that would imo be a more honest answer then constantly saying there is no problem with low numbers, we actually increased the number of riders.

The cost for the teams to get to Darwin would be astronomical, what for, a mid pack finish?.

The local sx series generates money to the teams, mxgp would not.

I wish this wasn't true, but it is.

I watched Reedy go from a CDR ride one year to Factory Kawi 250 the following year…

Any Aussies over here that were at the track? I saw there were some locals and 85's racing today. How's the track?

Looks sandy or at least very loose dirt. Rutting up all over the place already.

Track looks good, dirt looks great, but are those trackside banners taller than normal? They look 6 feet tall in some sections.

I Went to Bradford in 2001 and it was awesome

Back then they still had prize money , and you could recoup some of the costs , now infront pays nothing , and the cost and logistics to get to Darwin was massive , well done to the privateers that did it .

I’d say the crowd at the aus x open or wsx in Gold Coast will be much  bigger than Darwin ,

Yes, totally true.

But the cost to the teams would have been fractional.

Congratulations, what a great ride, and an experience you will never forget. Well done, and thank you.

Watching the 85’s race has only cemented why I won’t go. Those trackside banners are getting out of control. There’s a bowl turn in front of the viewing hill and you can’t see the riders and that’s just one area. Sorry NT you won’t be getting my tourist dollars.

Yes he is clearly not happy with the progress. Must say he is a rider that blames the bike allot, but he is never been that bad as this season.

Its a head scratcher that Renaux goes there and think it will be better then the Yamaha..

They must have an amazing off season and Wilvo need to turn the page really big other wise the Ducati pair wont be in any podium contention.

Statement ride from Guadagnini. Towards Seewer, and towards Thomas Traversini, selecting Cairoli over him.

13 point gap in MX2. So if Kay goes 1-1 Simon has to go 3-4 at least, am I right?
Gonna be rough for Kay. Aside from a moto in Argentina and one in SPain all his moto wins have come from sand races this year.

I think Laengefelder has this one dialed. Febvre was impressive with his quick passes in those first laps. Herlings couldn’t really make that happen
