Vegas East V West Points count towards series points?

I just noticed this and am not sure if it has been covered before, but it looks like next year in the Lites class whatever points you score at Vegas in the East v West race are going to go towards your points in whatever coast series you ride.


Lites Class Points for the Final Round in Las Vegas
• Supercross Lites points given at the final round in Las Vegas will count
towards both the East and West Lites Championships.
• The format for the Lites class at the Las Vegas round will be announced at a
later date.
• If more than 80 entries are received, entries will only be accepted from riders
that have declared a region and have competed in at least one 2011 Lites
event prior to Las Vegas

I had heard that they were going to award double points at Vegas also...just a rumor.

Cool, it looks like both series will be decided at Vegas then you would think.

Not sure when they are changed it with this but the finals used to be the top 20 from each region, and the heat races were divided by region.

Hypothetically what about the previous years' no.1 riders? Are they going to have to change their number from 1 for the shootout?

They will worry about that when the #1's from the last season stay in the 250 class.

I think it is a cool idea... If the 450 class is all wrapped up at least their will still be something left to decide.
