What's it looking like for Ducati's MX2 team next year? I'm guessing we will see the MX2 team 2026 and possibly Troy Lee taking on two 250 riders in 2027? MX Large

Word is that Zanchi will ride for the MX2 team, they will take on another rider for the EMX250 rounds

Saw somewhere that Mancini will end up there as EMX250 rider. Not sure if it was on gatedrop or on another page.

In the Italian Prestige Championships, with one round to go, Lata leads by a long way - all 1sts, other than one round where Zanchi turned up and went 1:1.

Lupino, having stepped away from the 450s that he won last year on the Ducati,  is in second on the Duke 250, with nearly all 2nds and 3rds, with a 10th in the first moto of round 1, and one DNF'd moto in the series.

So, he's doing pretty well on the new 250. It's  far from the bike being a dog, as I've read some seem to imply.

With Mikula out on the TM with injury ( I think) at third, unless Lupino has a disasterous last round, Alessandro should seal up the 2nd OA. Well, on my checking , with 500 points being available in the last round, Zanotti , currently in 4th, can't get past Lupino.

I only have one hand, so it would be a fair race. He’d probably get the hole shot but Im betting his bike would get the death wobbles and Id possibly ride by him.
I ride a Kawi also but I mine handles just fine.

In all fairness, he frequently races with one hand on the bars.  He uses the other one to block the roost from the AMA privateer riders that are blowing by him.

I laughed…

But it just shows he’s dug himself a pretty deep hole with the fans.

As for the Duc, might be a young guy, Gordon maybe for the US team.  Or what about Fedortsov?

The US 250 Ducati team might not be happening until 2028. Unknown who will be operating it at this point (likely to be a different team than TLD).

He won a race in the mud of Cózar, he was in the top 10 in the standings ahead of guys like Farrés, Valin, Oliver and his teammate Lata when he blew his knee out. I think he did very decent and better as 2024. There's no way he would've finished the season in the top 5, so I think he did all he could.

His results (including qualifying races):

DNF-15-15-6-1-10-10-15-7-8-12-10-DNF-10-8-9-14-11-9-7-9-5-4-10-11-9-16

Wonder why they would split the 450-250 up with different programs..

Really interesting feedback there...  Somewhat surprising too.

I do really like that we are gaining mfg's though.  More paid seats, even if the pay is a little less in some of the haulers than others.  I'm hoping it helps certain 250 guys get to 450's when the time is right.
