KX 125 Aluminium frame sandblasting?

Hello all,

I will be soon the owner of a KX 125. Big issue is, the frame has been painted black. I’d like to bring it back to its original silver color.

Was thinking of having it sandblasted and then spray painted but was wondering if it’s ok to sandblast and aluminium frame or if the sand is going to damage it. 

Also, what’s the better way to mask small threads/bearing seats?

It has a steel frame.  Should be fine to blast away

It is a steel frame, but non-the less you can walnut blast aluminum or vapor-blast it without issues. Kawi never manufactured an aluminum frame 2 stroke.
