Just started another build, this is a 2000 RM250 2 stroke. a Classic. Planning todo a full ground up rebuild so follow along! Found some pastrana graphics on the internet and thought it would be a sick homage to the 2 stroke era that once was, especially now with the reemergence of the KX 2 strokes. 2 strokes might make a comeback ( I reallly hope so) but this build will help keep the 90s-2000s history alive.
Currently ISO Pro Circuit Pipe. Silencers are in stock but I cant find a pipe anywhere... PLEASE HELP!!!
Im Big on the classic 90s early 2000s 2 stroke Motocross bikes. Just wanted to share this build with others who would appreciate this bike/build. Anyone with supreme knowledge on these bike or access to rare parts please share with me. I strive to learn as much as I can about these amazing bikes before the secrets are lost.
Gary baily was Patranas coach he has a lot of Travis on his channel. You might get some up close shots in the pits. 01 unadilla is Travis pushing it hard. I had a 01 they ran carbon tech reeds , still made. Srs pistons not made anymore. But Wiseco pro elite is the closest , Wossener coated piston. Not sure if the same stuff was used on a 2000. I hv the orange & yellow fox pants . Bill,s pipes shelf pipe is Great . It’s actually the pipe used for AX.
Finally got the frame back and started putting it together. Spent many hours cleaning and buffing parts Pressed out and replaced all suspention bearings. let me know if you know anyone with some trick parts for this thing.
Still some big key parts im searching for...ANYONE know and leads on a PC pipe?!
Have you tried contacting PC and, see if they can’t add you to the list. Going this route tends to be expensive though.
My cousin was searching for a PC pipe for a 95 RM 250. After looking for a very long time, I helped find a Fresco pipe for him. It’s a raw pipe much like the PC. Could always de-badge it…
