Yea or Nay?
Poll
Kind of early to tell what's going on here but right out of the gate I am surprised by all the Nays. I stopped in various Tim Hortons over the last few years driving around Canada and it sure seemed like Canadians loved their Tim Hortons. I have to admit, I like them too. There were a couple that had longer lines at the drive through than the Chick-fil-a lines around here. You see a lot of A&Ws up there too but in the places that have a combo Tim Hortons/A&W the Tim Hortons had all the customers.
I voted nay, but only because I've never been to a Tim Horton's. Are they only in Canada?
Ahhhh, I should have added a "Never Been There" option. Can I edit it? I think they might be starting to branch into the northern states if I recall. I have never seen one in the US yet though.
Okay, added a "Never Been There" option. Hopefully people will go change their vote.

So you’re driving to Alaska
Next year maybe.
Had a racer that raced the Canadian Nationals and when he won…just for fun…we’d roll thru Tim’s and he’d order powdered donuts…he only got to do this when he won…it’s an old James Stewart thing…and my rider, Matt Goerke, got a laugh outta it when we did it.
He had a few donuts…he won his fair share of races including 3 titles.
It’s Canada’s Drive Thru.
We always go inside. I have actually never been through the drive through. The lines are too long.
We did it in the early morn on the way to the airport…and I always got a huge coffee. Lines aren’t too bad in Bumfuck Canada at 5 am. 🤣
Good times. Really good times.
I'm becoming a big fan of the Canadia.
wish we had one in UT
FAFO is the 2nd amendment of the Canadian constitution.
Only been once when I flew Air Canada from Japan to the states and had a layover in Vancouver. I understand why Canadian love it so much, really good donuts and an even better cup of coffee.
Been to one in Columbus, OH several times. Nothing special. Only reason I stop is it’s on the way to where I need to go. Drive thru doesn’t get my order right so I have to go inside which really slows me down. I’d rather have a dunkin or better yet, a local shop in the area.
I didn’t know there were any in the states, but it looks like they are all over Columbus.
I’ve gone to them in Canada, but didn’t like that they don’t take credit cards. I was always on a company card. I’d have to pay for those out of pocket.
Holy moly, I didn't realize there were any in Ohio. I just searched google maps and there are gobs of them in Ohio. I see they are all over Michigan as well. I don't see any inside of 500 miles from me though.
They always took my credit card. I would have been out of luck if they didn't because I never carry any Canadian money (probably not that smart of an idea).
They made an effort to enter the northeast market about 20 yrs. ago, and failed miserably at it. The northeast is owned by Dunkin Donuts.
Pit Row
I never cared for Dunkin Donuts personally. I don't even remember if I have ever been in one of their stores (and we have one here in my little town) but I have had their donuts and I much prefer Krispy Kreme or even Casey's glazed donuts.
I’ve never seen or heard of them up here in the PNW. Are they like a Denny’s?
I'm guessing they would be very comparable to Dunkin Donuts although I'm not that familiar with Dunkin Donuts.
I voted no ,I dont drink coffee and get extremely annoyed by the traffic that Tim Hortons causes . Clearly people are fans if there are cars out into the street every day.
Meh, they were way better years ago. Spent a lot of time and treasure at Horton's back in the day. When they merged with Wendy's in the 90's they started making changes for efficiencies, and then they got bought up by some equity firm and things got even worse. Changed their coffee blend to some sort of sludge that requires a ton of sugar and cream to even be drinkable. If you drink your coffee without training wheels as is proper, just go elsewhere. Donuts used to be made in-store, now they're made...somewhere? Frozen, trucked across the country, and microwaved. Nowadays Timmy's is as Canadian as Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf Mountain.
The couple times i tried it, thought the coffee tasted like shit. I like 7brew if you're after coffee. I like sugarfree options and 7brew has alot.
Don't eat the food if you're going to be far from a toilet. Pretty much only go for iced coffee because they're everywhere and the price isn't bad
As a born and raised Michigander who has lived in Florida for the past 20 years my wife knows the first exit in Ohio she can stop and get a coffee from Timmys when we head north.
Myself, I prefer Stan Makita's.
I thought that guy made power tools?
To make this moto related I expected Jettson's Donuts to possibly go this route. It looks like that bit has fizzled out but there is enough money around him that he could have got some serious backing. Monster could back him to put up 10 brick and motors without even noticing it and franchise from there. I wonder if there is a Trademark infringement with Hanna Barbera.
I was hoping someone would get it.
