MotoGP stability control system

Makes the sport safer by reducing injuries caused by high sides, good for the sport.

And here I thought Doug D. was the wheelie king. 🤔

Its there to mitigate a problem caused by the traction control systems basically guys would get into a slide and the TC system would cut the power and cause a highside. In theory it should allow more wheelspin and more sliding while reducing highside risks. 

Did Doohan and Spencer have this…?🤣

Watching the race yesterday, I was enjoying the camera shots from the front of the bike,  following tight behind the racer in front of him.

Coming out of turn one, you could see the rear suspension working, and the rear tyre deflection, as it accelerated out of the turn. 

Laying down that black ribbon of rubber. 

Was thinking, that was traction control at its finest. 

Was in Daytona in 98.

Kevin was racing the nascar busch series.

He was posting respectable times in practice. A couple of the guys sitting in front of me were asking each other, "who's that Kevin Swantz guy".

I explained to them that he's the only world champion you'll see here all week.

Raced with the Vintage Road Racing Association here on the weekend, guy there had a breathtaking Gamma 500 done up as a tribute to this bike

I watch MotoGP, WSBK and BSB.

BSB is my favourite without question, the racing is usually really good. Last year was decided on the last corner on the last lap by 1 point, the year before was decided in the last race and was by 1/2 a point. 

It also has the least amount of electronics involved, it isn’t the only ingredient to great racing but it certainly helps in my opinion.

I need to watch BSB and WSBK. I tend to only watch motogp, was watching motoamerica for a bit but got busy and couldn't keep with it. 

The new 2027 rules will help greatly with the competitiveness. The Ducati pony show was a wake up call for everyone. This year on paper has been more competitive from a manufacture standpoint. But with Marc dogging on everyone it doesn't appear that way. 

The aero and ride height device restrictions should close the gap, along with everything else. 

It's crazy when you watch the front cam on a rider and he can't even be close to the guy in front of him without getting that choppy turbulent air. It's similar to nascar next gen car how it's hard to stay close to someone.
