Yeah, I missed at least 3 appointments to get my TX DL, I think, but we’re still mulling over perhaps relocating back to the Northwest so I’m not sure if I will end up doing it after all.

Understandable. You’re definitely more Portland than Dallas.

I’m not really a ‘city guy’ either way, but the outskirts of Portland are pretty freaking awesome!

Coincidentally, I’m actually about to board a plane headed to Portland right now. Well more specifically, the Troutdale/Gresham area. Should be a great time for an outdoor wedding!

The outskirts are the only part of Portland that are remotely nice and not overrun by homelessness and crime. Perhaps you timed it just right with one of their 48 sunny days a year!

Well, we got 7 perfect weather days out of Portland!!!!

Portland and Seattle both have some of the greatest summer weather possible, but whether it’s worth the constant drizzle from October through March is a difficult proposition.

Crazy thing is that so far for 2025, we’ve received almost double the rainfall in the Dallas area that Portland has.

Here in SC depending on hauling weight a single axle trailer does not have to be registered. I have seen quite a few double axle trailers that aren’t taged but a cop can pull them over if they want to.

If its not registered and you buy it the DMV might stick you with paying the sales tax the owner never paid.

Tricky part is if you are traveling in other states it must be registered and you can be pulled over for not having a tag even though its not required in your home state.
