Has anyone ran into this issue?
I am reviving my 2003 YZ 250 that has been sitting for several years. The fuel line was fossilized and hard as a rock. In the process of trying to get the line off the petcock, the brass barbed fitting pulled out of the petcock body.
I am wondering if I should use some epoxy or jb weld to try and bond it back together.
It seems like this happened to me years ago and I just tapped it back in and it was fine and never leaked.
It is still a tight fit when I push it back in.

I have seen it many times you just tap it back into place lightly with a small hammer and it will be fine.

X2. As long as that barb is still round, you'll get a leak-free seal. IDK how it works, but I've had it happen to me several times on YZs. They glue the fuel line to the barb at the factory so I always have to twist it off with pliers.

I wold give it a shot of 271 Loctite. Can be undetectable and since it is low pressure should be fine. Epoxy/Marine Tex are also good solutions. IF not, I would go with the OEM part. The eBay ones; last about a year till the orings fail. Good Luck
Thanks for the feedback. I am going to tap it back in and if it gives me any trouble go to the epoxy/replacement route.
x2. I just pulled the fuel line off an old KLX110 carb last week and it pulled the brass nipple out of the carb body. Pressed it back in by hand and no leaks.
o crap i sure looked at that wrong just tap it back in it will be fine! I thought it was the threaded insert in the tank my bad
