The American Motorcyclist Association's just revealed its strongest Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations squad since 2022 – Chase Sexton (MXGP), Haiden Deegan (MX2) and Eli Tomac (Open) will form Team USA in Crawfordsville, Indiana, in early October.
Sexton will represent the United States for a second time – his first in the MXGP class – and strive to extend his perfect streak of team victories. When he last represented Team USA, that being at RedBud in 2022, both of his scores (a second and third) counted on the nation's scorecard.
Deegan enters the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations for the first time. The reigning 250MX champion, he has 12 victories in the division and a 37%-win percentage. Deegan has missed the previous two editions due to a wrist injury (2024) and internal decision making (2023).
Finally, Tomac joins Team USA for a sixth time. Tomac has won with the United States once (2022) and appeared on the podium in four of his five appearances (2013, 2014, 2022 and 2024). Tomac secured the USA's top scores at last season's MXoN and has not been responsible for his nation's dropped result since his debut in 2013.
Team USA, second last year, will strive to rip the Chamberlain Trophy from Australia's grasp. Australia revealed their riders as Jett Lawrence, Kyle Webster and Hunter Lawrence two weeks ago.
