Add to that countless other sources for sports, weather, finance, recreation, health and fitness, medical, the list goes on forever. None requiring turning on the television.
You can see what they're saying, what their supporters/critics have to say on any subject.
And like mentioned above, being around long enough to see a lot of this come full circle, many times. Not to mention major moves around the nation anticipating the economic/construction booms.

Rezoning, and redistricting were issues, and a pain in the ass in San Diego county back in the 70's, and no doubt earlier.
But none ran away whenever they couldn't get an area rezoned for one of the business cronies.
Rezoning and redistricting was out of frikkin control in Texas during the oil boom of the 70's-80's.
One week you had a councilman who you voted for, next week, you were suddenly in a gerrymandered district being represented by someone who didn't know squat about the businesses and neighborhoods.
As areas grew, and the tax base grew, they were swallowed up by the "system".
Ended up moving to Montgomery county to get away from the bullshit.
It eventually creeped out that far as well.
Look at the gerrymandered districts in N.Carolina.
They're just as insane as Texas and Illinois.
It's been going on forever.
And it'll continue as long as there's power, votes, and revenue up for grabs.
Alright now we are getting somewhere.
Like I’ve said earlier I think you like to see the world burn, or maybe put more accurately you like to stir shit up. So when you criticize democrats for leaving quorum, but are silent when the speaker of the house sends everyone home to avoid an issue that has much more gravity to it then a president thinking he’s entitled to more Republican reps and demanding redistricting it seems pretty bias.
