I was at The Metro on George street in 2003 when Karen O fell off the stage and Sconed herself - she was a crazed Banshee of a performer!

She was carted off in the Meat Wagon that night. It apparently made her realize she was getting just that bit too  'out there' with her life, in general.

Yup - I used to go to So Many Gigs and Concerts - usually, for free.

The Love of My Life, through her performing / dance / musical contacts - she was a Ballet Dancer for many years, with various International Companies, and had a Lot of contacts - got us so many tickets / back stage / access all areas type perks.

Through her, we're getting a private , full  / go wherever the f**k we want to go tour of The Opera house on Tuesday, on my 65th birthday. It's great knowing the right people / well, person! We are getting a full Bennelong Restaurant 'Sit Down' too : apparently, it costs in the (quite a few) Hundreds of $$$$$$, for those who have to pay.  I would have been happy with Fish and Chips from The Quay.

So, I / We saw a whole lot of different bands and performers - and, rarely were we disappointed. Saw Bands / Performers we would never have considered, but were always entertained.

Though, one, where we went to see Hole, well, Courtney Love turned up late, blitzed out of her brains, and just sat down on the stage, near comatose. Audience members started throwing things at her. I can't recall correctly where it was - I keep on thinking it was at The Bondi Life Saver, but know that's not correct. The audience, near rioted, and we got the hell out of there. Bit of a bummer, as I was quite the fan of Melissa Auf der Maur, the red headed basist. She was such a fantastic performer, and, the real talent of that band. And, a very Cute Ranga, too!

Guess I'll put in the Celebrity Skin clip : no matter what one might think of Courtney, it's not too bad a bit of music :

Surprised it took this long for Pat Benatar's name to show up. How about Olivia Newton-John

How about Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, and has Janis Joplin made an appearance yet?

Without question, a voice that is second to none.......

Elvis Costello "Party Girl" cover, need to watch all the way thru the coda......just awesome live vocal.

A couple weeks ago we went to one of those Friday night, community concert type of thing and the local band was a ‘yacht rock’ cover band along with some other 70s music. The musicians were all pretty old, a couple of them were probably mid 70s or so, but they were really, really good. They did several Linda Ronstadt songs, and I swear that if you closed your eyes you might definitely think that you were actually at a small LR show!

Definitely was one of those shows that reminds you of your youthful experiences!
