If it does go by points, it looks like it'll be Ward and Pettis.

Last year Medaglia was originally on the team instead of Dylan. Yeah, Dylan had a massive crash early in the season that took him out for most of the year, but he came back for Walton not feeling 100% and won the overall. From what I remember, Tyler decided to give his spot to Dylan. IMO, it was the right thing to do.

I got nothing against any of the riders. I just want the best team to go and represent Canada. IMO, those guys are not Ward or Amyotte.

It's a world class event. Those guys are not at that level, and IMO, won't ever get to that level.

I think the team this year should be the same as 2023 if all the guys are healthy. It didn't go as planned, but it doesn't mean they weren't the right guys for the job.

The best possible team we can field is once again Wright, Pettis, and Benoit.

Benoit hasn't raced a national all year. I don't know what shape he's in, but he's racing Deschambault.

Totaly agree Mav that Wright and Pettis should be going, however we should not send McNabb if he is healthy. He has tanked horribly at every International and USA opportunatey he has had. Send the top 250 rider in points or T-Dags if his elbow is up for it. MX2 will be our through away moto, so we just need one okay ride from our MX2 rider.

IMO, he didn't do well at MXdN because it was his first international events and he was young. As for the US, he never really got going and then we found out he had Pericarditis. I think he's owed a shot a redemption if he's healthy. He's a little older now and a big bigger.

I wouldn't send T-Dags. A lot of experience, but he wasn't on pace at Gopher's. I know he pulled out of the moto, but I don't know if it was his elbow. His fastest lap was a 1:59, Ryder was 1:53.

I recall Kaven saying last year in interviews after the mxon that he was disappointed in his showing and felt that he wasn't at that level of riding anymore.  If Ryder is healthy, I think him, or maybe even offer Tanner Ward the 250 spot if they want to reward him if he gets the 450 title.

How does Viney still have a GDR factory Honda ride? His results the last few years have not been good. 14th at Walton in 2024. Best finish of 6th in 2023. Best finish in 2025 is a 5th with no moto podiums. Seemed odd to me.

So you're saying we may have Tanner and Quinn as our mx1 and mxopen picks?  😆Wtf?  I mean no disresoect to those guys, they are national talent, but we're talking international here.  Jess and Dylan are capable of running top 10 in any series in the world, they are our only legitimate picks.

Is she really going to let a couple busted gas tanks, mechanicals, and dq's be the deciding factor.  I mean I know Dylan is part to blame for his demise this season with being crash prone lately, but damn, risk it with crash or win Dylan, or don't even bother.

Last year Medaglia was originally on the team instead of Dylan. If both are healthy it should be Wright and Pettis but things are so bad between the two I can’t see that happening even if both are healthy. Rempel would be a solid choice if he continues to ride like he is.
McNabb is outright faster but his health isn’t great and he’s never done well when he has gone.

3-5? So they'd make webb, Malcolm, Prado, Anderson, and all but a small handful look slow!?

No, but 3-5 seconds off is where Wright was when he did a few events.

He qualified 7th at Ironman in 2023 and was 4 seconds off Jett who qualified fastest. He was battling with AC9 for 6th, went down trying to make the pass, dropped back to 18th and climbed back to 9th. He went 8-9 for 8th overall.

IMO, he and Pettis took another step in their riding. I'm not saying they'd qualify/finish higher, but I do believe they've gained some speed and that there would be a smaller amount of time between the leader and when they cross the finish flag.

They've consistently beat Nicoletti by over a minute this year. Sure, Phil is older but he's raced up here before and knows the tracks. Phil has been vocal during his podium speeches about the talent those two guys have. He's said more than once they're world class guys.

He said he's questioning his fitness. It's one moto on a track he knows better than anyone lining up.

He rode well, though.

Phil's bike held up for the moto win.

Ward gets the pass on van Berkel at the finish.

McNabb not even on the gate. Poor guy. Get the vaccine they said. It’s safe, they said.
