What is a Colbert?
This is a business decision by whatever network he/she is on. Free speech is a government related issue. Or in our case Vitalmx and it's strange way of moderation.
Colbert is the worst of the worst. Even Jon Stewart had to school him on the coronavirus a few years ago. He’s a nut.

I think it’s ok to be entertained by folks who have a different political slant than you. I actually loved the Colbert Report, even while not agreeing with their politics. If we can’t laugh at ourselves, we are in trouble.

Some of these shows, and especially cnn, really have no content without Trump. Trump is such an easy target, that people like Colbert and CNN get lazy and milk the Trump bashing too much. No real original content.
Which is exactly why Carson will always be the king of late night.
And retired well loved, and respected.

The Networks have shown thier insanity with thier support for certain political hacks over the years. Look at Kimmel at ABC…The View…etc…even when they/it losses money.
Hell, take a look at “who” the Colbert supporters are in the pic I posted…that show is just an Anti-Trump platform and the EXTREME TDS KOOKS are its audience…seriously, look at who’s crying about Colbert getting canceled…and “why”.

I watch Gutfield. I laugh my ass off with Tyrus & Kat & guests like Mike Baker and Rob Schneider…etc.
But, outside of that…my tv viewing is mostly streaming from Peacock, Netflix, Apple…etc.

I first heard it on the radio coming home from late hockey practice a few years ago. I started watching the dvr replays this winter. Love that show, funny. They do even pick on republicans, the other late-night shows are all one sided now.
Tyrus routinely nails it.

Letterman was funny at times…but, an ultimate douche-nozzle…especially towards the end. Even Cher fucked him up! 🤣
I never got what people find funny about Colbert and Jon Stewart. Smarmy, smirking satire isn't funny. Colberts ratings were half what Lettermens were when he retired and the show is losing money.
I was a big Lettermen fan when he was at NBC. His show got more produced and scripted when he went to CBS but it was still worth watching until he started spouting his political views sometime in the 2000's.

I agree with both of you guys and also to put Conan in the mix of the best. Furguson was waaaaayyy underrated IMO. Sharp as hell and extremely witty.
I agree on Letterman being a bit dickish. But he did hold true to Carson and late night tv. Guttfeld is great, I didn’t mention him because really I don’t place him in the same category. Even if his ratings kick the shit out of all the lib “comedy” shows
