Definitely becoming a big fan of Haarup! That overall podium is going to happen before you year is up. Can he race SMX? Enough points?

Dude speaks great English and looks like he's enjoying himself. Would love to have a beers with him!!!

He's 13th in the SMX standings. He can race the Playoffs.

Especially with how wide open 250 mx will be with Deegz out of the class. It will be a gunfight every weekend

Honestly give Haarup another year in the states. He will be a lot more comfortable on the tracks and could actually be a serious title threat. Imagine Triumph winning a championship only three years into the sport. Plus, if he doesn't get the title then can go back to MXGP the year after.

Haha, how do you end up in 8th with 9-11 scores? There had to be some crazy tiebreakers going on.

Oh, i thought this post was that Triumph was going to warranty all the faulty transmissions.

Silly me.

Is Triumph running one 450 next year with Jordan Smith? Swoll, Haarup, Forkner, Robertson on 250s. Without Haarup on a 250, their ace card is Swoll. Makes a lot of sense to postpone that MXGP contract and keep Haarup! Triumph is looking good up front.

Swoll is so impressive too, wish we had seen him in supercross.

I'm pretty sure Haarup's the only Triumph 450 guy in MXGP next year, so I highly doubt they'll want to skip a year of development to let him ride a 250 in the states.

Surely, they could just get another 450 rider?  There's a lot of contracts ending so they could get someone decent. Also, I think more riders would be open to triumph after seeing how good the bike is.

Yeah, I'm sure they could get someone else, but why would they need to? They already have Haarup and they know he rips. Besides, do you think Triumph US would screw over Triumph Europe by poaching their sole 450 rider saying "just hire someone else"?

I get where you're coming from and at the end of the day everyone has to honour the contract they signed. However, it will take Haarup at least part of the year to get used to a 450. He is making massive improvements every week in the US, and I do believe he will be a podium contender the last few rounds. With that trajectory he could seriously be a title contender next year. Just thinking out load.

Put a fork in Robertson. I think he is done?

Haarup is only here because he aged out of the 250 class for MXGP and Triumph didn't have the 450 ready. Anyone saying he should stay here next year compared to going to race 450 at the world level has regional bias. Maybe he is enjoying his time here and possibly even wants to stay but like others have said in other threads, this country isn't the be all end all. Dude will go on to have sick career in MXGP and will get to tell his kids one day about the summer he spend in the US kicking ass. That's good enought for the right person

Watching Haruup ride last weekend, he might just be that next super freak. Not an instant freak but will ease into it.
Personality like RV2 a little bit.

He knows where he is at and seems like a student of the sport.

Reminds me of that russian dude that fought Rocky.

Kawi should go after that kid.
