From what I've read, Short is considered to be the dirtiest rider on the track. What goes around comes around.

But really, who cares. It's racing. The one and only way we'll ever know if it was truly intentional is if BT actually says it was. We can look at as many pictures and videos as we want, but they won't show the truth. They'll definitely lead us to come to our own conclusions, that's for sure.

Australia would have been 3rd on the day if it was't for that
Let me clear one thing up for you...

Canard was making a pass on Marmont going into the S-turn at the bottom of the sweeping corner after the tabletop. Canard went inside and stayed low over the roller between the corners while Marmont railed the corner and got some air off the roller before proceeding to land on the rear end of Canard's bike, almost taking them both out.

Canard managed to stay up by putting both feet down while Marmont fell off to the side.

Not really either riders fault, but it certainly wasn't a take out on Canard's part.

come on people, get a grip on things. This is a block-pass like you saw, and asked for, tons of times before. That was an aggressive move but nothing that has never been done and accepted many times. BT opened it wide open, Shorty got passed and his front end and handle bars got caught in Bt's bike. I was standing 10 feet from it, on the right on the track with GP21 and watched the full pass happen.

Incredible for Shorty to ride without the clutch lever. Them HRC Honda have an interesting gear box Wink
Come on Shez, a high speed block pass? Look at the picture his front end was blown out,not caught up in his rear wheel! I just want to hear from BT if say's it was a good pass,I want to replay his comments at the USGP about the Alessi pass on him.

Look, I'm not blind here, but I just cant stand when people talk shit about a rider before knowing the facts, and even then, if there was contact whats the huge deal here? Contact is an every day occurrence in motocross. Short got up and continued, US won the MXoN. Wtf is the problem? You guys need to stop crying about BT, DeCoster, Cairoli etc etc etc and enjoy your victory.

Whens the last time we Canadians got to spray champagne from the mxon podium? .....

Right! Now stfu already! Tongue
Just to get the facts straight, I was there and BT did make contact with Short but there were two lines through that turn and they got into one another. Short was high going low and BT was low to square up the turn and they got together. No different then any other aggressive riding. That’s motocross.

You don't block pass in a high speed sweeper.

Comparing Townley to Barcia is pretty stupid. Where the heck do you idiots get this crap.
Two guys racing incredibility fast on a rough track. BT had some momentum, saw an opportunity and went for the pass, and BAM. I've done it. Anyone who has raced seriously has done it. You aren't trying to take anybody out, you're trying to go as fast as you can. It sucks when you're the guy who ends up on the ground, but that's racing.

That said, I think BT is trying too hard. Maybe someone should dig up some of those old Relax and Win tapes for him.

Someone remembers the "Relax and Win" tapes? I was one of David Boles' guinea pigs when he was developing them in '82.

That corner was no longer a high speed sweeper. It had a berm/rut that was destroyed and had a huge hook in it. Short decided to follow Roczen in to it, Ben had a smoother and faster line from the outside to the inside. The hook popped Short out in to Ben's bike. No one's fault really but if you want to blame anyone blame Shorty for poor line selection.
