Seat cover question

Pull your front side staples . Then pull to the side & forward & restaple .  1st one I did in 20+ yrs in between storms so the cover was not hot .  I had to pull staples a few times & redue. Pic is on a diff day

You mean along the seam in the blue? Or are you talking about near the nose in the red? 

You need to pull it tighter when installing, but it's not bad for a first time. The wrinkles will relax a bit in the sun, though.

The sun will likely make it worse. Some covers are worse than others but your best bet is to pull your staples out and pull the cover forward, re staple, and pull the sides tight and re staple. 

Good seat cover install video on Evo-Mx website…. I would send a link but …..generally, center cover with staples front & rear, then do sides, when done, remove front or rear if needed & pull tighter, re-staple….an air staple gun makes life very easy…

Oh you hv wrinkles back to the 3rd rib.  Just pull the staples just past the 3rd rib . Start by the 3rd rib then the front pull down& forward.  I used a 30 yr old staple gun , no air.  I don’t like seams especially because it stops ya from easily sliding to get on the edge on the seat .  I don’t care for ribs either .  You need grip but you hv to be able move around . Grip tape from a hardware store on frame helps to.

I usually bend the seat so that it bows a bit (imagine the front edge and rear edge curving upwards) and then tack the front and back. Then massage down and staple the sides. Then when you mount it on the bike, you have to bend against the tension in the seat cover to get the bolts in and that keeps the top of the cover taut. 

if you can’t get away with taking off the cover and restarting, you can use the same basic method to get those wrinkles out. Set the seat on a bench pan side down. Then grab by the nose and lever the tail down onto the bench so the seat bows in the middle. That will make the wrinkles bigger and easier to grip. From there, squeeze them out to the side and staple down.
