I though AC was going to smoke Dungey? Guess not. God I wish RV were out there! Wouldn't be close. I expected more out of Desalle... I like Desalle, I hope he comes over here and races. Ravioli can stay over with the B class..... haha

Desalle isn't 100%.

Expected more from AC, but Mxdn isn't his specialty, has had a lot of bad luck and bad starts.

Congrats to RD, Desalle isn't 100% but did well...

Albertson summed it up pretty well, its real different in the US, bring RD over to AC's playground Lommel and AC wins 100%, but bring AC to the US and its RD 100%!

I'd put my money on RD, Bubba, and RV anywhere in the world.

be good to see the battle on italian soil next weekend and then do the math so there is no question of anyones home soil etc.. dungey looks unbeatable at the moment, his a machine

Fine, see you in Lommel.

want my accountnumber already?

i wouldn't bet against those 3 anywhere in the world except Lommel or Lierop.

Dungey had the fastest lap times and a 1-1. He's the real deal. AMA did pretty well too. Won each race but one qualifier.

Roczen was great too. Very impressive. Bummer we didn't see a battle between him and Canard because of Trey's starts. Sucks we didn't see Musquin either...

Hell yeah Dungey's the man but were are we getting that RV is unstoppable outdoors? From his ONE 450 outdoor race in 2years? He very well may be the man but until he actually finishes a season all the "well if RV was there he would blah blah blah" Lets just save it

Everyone wanted to see RD and Cairoli get good starts and race up front and they got it in Moto 1. Am I the only one here not surprised by the outcome?
9/26/2010 4:17pm
Dungey just shut all the Euros on here up. He beat Cairoli STRAIGHT UP that first moto. He's literally "The Fastest Man In The World" now and anyone who doesn't agree is in denial. He's the next Carmichael. Never thought i would say that but after this year and especially today i saw what he's capable of. And this isn't Dungey's home race, Just cause it's in the USA doesnt mean its his home track .If your gona go by that logic then Dungey still beat Cairoli on HIS home track last year. USA is the best!

It was a great showing for both the AMA riders and the GP regulars.

Roczen and Desalle won their classes, and of course USA won the whole damn thing. Very impressed with Short! Definitely proved that he never gives up. He dug deep and then came out guns blazing that last moto. I have a lot more respect for him and I think he'll use this confidence to great effect next year.

Dungey did exactly what he had too, he was better than Cairoli today. However virtually every European agreed that he would win at this track. He had a serious home town advantage. That's not an excuse, it's a fact. If it isn't and i'm wrong, then explain why?

Beating Cairoli is impressive but until he does on a GP track, the debate will have to rage on over who is the world's best.

er it was in America.. home track advantage..and a one off race... why do Amercans presume because Dungey beat Cairoli at a nations race in America that he is vastly superior and would beat him in the World Championship?... lunacy..

Dungey and Cairoli are pretty equal- even in Dungey's home country..as the first race showed... as did the lap times... I even said Dungey would win in his home country he is the champ of the USA..but a GP series.. different story. It all comes down to starts and the track when you are that level...

Both areequally great riders... Cairoli proved he is as good to the Americans and Dungey won like he should at home in a nations race.

Well done USA they deserved the victory in the team race.

Well done to the class winners too..

MX1 winner ... Dungey
MX2 winner ... Roczen
MX3 winner ... Desalle

X2. Not sure but I don't think RD1 has a great track record at CO. He won the National this year but got smoked by Grant the first moto. I don't remember him having any great 250f races there either. Doesn't matter what track it is or who he's racing! Oh and since Grant beat RD in a moto here, transitive properties Grant is better than Cairoli too! J/k

it was a good weekend for AC and Dungey. Dungey was 2 for 3 at this exhibition race.

Congrats to him and also to AC.

I am so sick of hearing about this "home town" advantage bullshit. This is only the 3rd time in like what 64 years that the MXDN has been held here? and how many times have we won it?

That excuse gets really old.

Haha. Yeah that's what i was thinking too, Dungey never did so good at Thundervalley. I mean he's won but not like how he usually does(Dominating).

Dungey beat him in ITALY last year as well. RD has beat him straight up the last 2 years. Best rider in the WORLD right now, bar none.

Everyone agree's America is the strongest individual MX country. But again, that is a different argument from which series is the best i.e Nationals or GP's. And which is the world's best rider Antonio or Ryan.

Cairoli got taken out on the start of the 2nd moto last year. Was it anything to do with Ryan? No, however it wasn't a straight up victory either.

Today was a straight up victory and it shows Dungey is the best on American soil, it doesn't show he's the best in the world.

This whole thing is silly..............
They're both Champions 1st.
Lap times don't lie, etc..........
Jimmy Albertson co-announcing on Red Bull TV said it best.
Here, it's advantage Dungey!
There, it's advantage Tony C.
For my money I've seen and witnessed enough to realize that most are splitting unnecessary hairs.
For me there's no debate.
Just 2 Champions from 2 different circumstances and environments, but Champions all the same!
The my Dad can beat up your Dad stuff is grade school people!!!!!!!Blink

They're embarrassed and hurt, going home with their tail between there legs. The only hope they have left is that maybe just maybe their boy could possibly win at home. Soon enough We'll crush that dream too.
