So does that mean that he is the fastest in the world? Cairioli is fast, but Dungey was faster this weekend.

GOT USA!!!

You'll be waiting a long time. They'll hide or shy away from the posts and have lame excuses. They do it every year.

Dungey was awesome again. Can't wait to see him race against Cairoli in Lommel.

I think its pretty obvious now but there are some like "joe101uk" that will always think "What if".

Bottom line...USA #1
The rest of the world #2

I don't think Cairoli could pull a decent start, but Dungey was flawless anyway so Congrats to Team USA.

The elevation looks like it took it's toll on AC also.
However, either way I think Dungey would have had him covered any place, any where. Wink

AC rode awesome. He has nothing to be upset about. Dungey just did what Dungey does. He was the better man today.

Carioli was right behind Dungey on moto one and he just couldn't pass! That statement is not really accurate unless you wanted him to holeshot!

Take your pick, will it be

The elevation?
His asthma?
The 350?
Got sun glare in his eye off the start gate?

But I agree with albertson, it really depends on where the race is. If we went to Lommel, it might reversed.

At the end of the day though, if they raced the nationals together or the GPs together over varied terrain, Dungey would come out on top no question.

Cairoli had nothing for Dungey in moto 2! He never seem to make a mistake, very impressive.

On the other hand; Trey Canard got nothing on Roczen Wink He even had the fastest 250 lap time in both qualifying, moto1 and moto2.

he got a decent start the first moto when dungey was held up behind barragan. thats what made the race good because dungey didnt get to far out. tony did look really good and had some good lines. i notices roczen took alot of the same ones

If seriously- I don`t think that european guys have anything to be ashamed about. Cairoli didn`t get the start- tough luck . Dungey was flawless.

In the first moto Cairoli gated in about 4th/5th and had to pass a couple of riders to be able to catch up with Dungey and Barragan. In the 2nd moto he got away in about 9th.

In top level sport it's usually the small details that make all the difference and I don't think Cairoli did himself any favours in choosing to ride the 350 at altitude, but that was his prerogative. Dungey would have had a small competitive advantage at least and as we all know the starts are vital in these races.

Im not making excuses though, Ryan Dungey would be have been very hard to beat anyway. It was an exciting and unpredictable days racing which is what it should be all about. Smile

Fuck Lommel: I can't wait to see Cairoli at A1. And San Diego. Phoenix. All you guys can cling to is your big sand track.

He might have had the fastest lap time, but Canard beat him in the qualifier. And I don't think they race by lap times.
