In southwest Mo. My son and I went ATVing there last weekend with a group of guys. Some of those trails would be Knarly as hell on the bikes.

It's been a long time but I seem to remember a lot of shale and sharp rocks that will eat a tire alive pretty pronto...fun place though.

Been goin their since I was 8yrs old!!! 33 now and love it. The more popular trails are too overrun and wide but we usually ride the blackjack enduro stuff and single track. The place has every type of terrain but you can easily shred a tire in a weekend!

Been there many, many times. Great place. It can be hard on tires but there are plenty of places that are not so rocky too. Like nascar says, just about every kind of terrain imaginable and you can ride all weekend and not hit all the trails.

We had a blast out there, nothing like that around central Illinois. After my son's latest round of injuries (broken arm and leg at Red Bud) we called it quits for a while and have been spending time riding trails on the wheelers. Where are some other comparable places within 5-6 hours from south-central Illinois? Steve where is Deepwater?

There's also St Joe State Park, which is on the east side of the state. Though the St Louis TV stations are trying to get it closed down because of lead in the old mine tailings, it's still open.

And you surely already know about Finger Lakes.
