I heard they just called off the rest of the race. County is in an emergency, ambulances etc.. will not be available.

A buddy who was there (raced yesterday) said he left and when he left it sounded like they will not be racing.

With the amount of heat races in classes, how are they going to handle giving out tickets?

Has this happened at a regional before?

Wowzers.  The rain we got hear trucked up north and was a massive cell. Going to be a long one for everyone that was participating and spectating at the races.

Yeah,  right?

First off, I hope everyone in the area aren't too badly effected.

Now what for the competitors?

Never seen this, maybe take top 3 from each division, top 6 for moto’s with 1 division, just score the 1st moto. Don’t know what else they can do.

It must be bad in the county if they cant get first responders to the track. Ive ridden some regionals that got bad, but we rode shortened motos. (Pic, High point 16). Never seen this situation tho. Sucks for guys who got 4th if they give tickets to top 3 in heats. Only fair way would be based off lap times i feel like.

They only made it through the first motos and were halfway through the LCQs

I was wondering what was up with timing and scoring.

According to Ellie Reed, Tate finished 5th in both classes yesterday. At least one had 2 divisions and they ended up combining the 2 divisions which gave Tate a 9th overall so he doesn’t get a ticket. Looks like top 3 from each division got one.

How did they even get through Moto 1 with all those entries?

They went till almost 7. I listened all day while weed eating fence rows at a farm I hunt lol. 10 hours with my fs90r I feel like I rode a gncc yesterday.

That blows they did top 3 from each.

I was listening yesterday also while working on a mower. Step up to the 240r it'll make quick work of those fence rows. I have 2 90s a 110 and the 240. The 90 and 110 are more of a commercial lawn care wacker.

Yeah, ill probably buy a marketplace 240 eventually. Ive been working this 1100 yards of fence row the last couple years for the farmer. Finally got it cut back enough i can do it all with a string trimmer. Last couple years ive used hand tools and a Milwaukee hedge trimmer. Ive had this 90 for 10 years for my own residential property and an echo 225 for super light work. It does great for its intended purpose but gets a work out at the farm.

Not to turn this in to weed eater talk.. but I have a still fs96 with the handle bars and shoulder strap. Can run that through multiple tanks of gas without getting too wore out.

Im not a huge van of handlebars because i lose mobility. Id use bars if i was just doing open areas but on the fence row work im shovin that thing through the fence is move it in akward positions.

If they didn’t over accept entries and didn’t need to qualify at the regional they would of probably got 2 motos in yesterday. There’s area qualifiers for a reason.

Not a handlebar guy either. The one 90 I've had since they came out in 06? I put easily over 1000 hours on it commercially, around the farm, and at the track. They hold their own very well and do great. But even modded a bit they have nothing for a 240. The 240 just straight rips thick stuff. Ive tore these 4 mix down a few times and the design is something. Plastic parts inside. I like stock 450 bikes but almost all my power equipment is modified. Exhausts, carbs, ported cylinders, gasket deletes, timing advances, unlimited coils, ect.

Yeah, I don't understand the process any more. I thought you qualified at a certain area and it advanced you to a certain regional with 40 riders or however many the gate holds. Doesn't seem to makes sense to advance to the regional, then still have to qualify to even race the motos.

Ok ill quit the trimmer talk. But even if you're not looking for more power some mods help with reliability. Anything you've gotten in the past 25+ years is choked up and sometimes leaned out to be clean. It makes them run hot. On the fs string and hs series hedge trimmers I worked on for other people were carboned up and hardly ran.

So if Tate has one class with only one division and finished 5th why would he not make it in that class ? I get the 9th in the class with 2 divisions.

That looks far worse than the National in 2018 which had torrential rain and was delayed and shortened for lightning strikes in the area.Hope all are OK.

Both classes 250b & 250b limited had divisions. He didn't make either. Looks like the Turner girl raced the limited 250b and made it in.

Nobody saw this storm coming. In fairness at 3 am when they knew it was coming they hopped on equipment and tried to seal the track in. They made it halfway around before it started dumping rain. Where they didn’t get to was unrideable. We got like 3.5-4” of rain in three hours. It was insane. I would not have wanted to be in that position to make that call. No matter what someone was gonna be unhappy. We were sitting on a pair of 3rd place divisional finishes. So he ended up with two 5th place finishes and a first time trip to the show. As stated above, this maybe would’ve been a bit less of a shit show if we don’t have a ridiculous amount of “alternates” allowed to race to line pockets. Also I will say whoever made the decision to waste 2-3 hours on practice Saturday morning when we had all day Friday to get the track dialed is a buffoon.

Why did they run alternates at the regionals? That’s ridiculous. There’s multiple area qualifiers for a reason.

They'll take any money thrown at them.
