Ah yes, Budd's 2007. I was trying to beat the crowd and get a bite to eat during that moto but I was stuck on the hillside because you could have thrown a blanket over those three guys at any given point during the race and I couldn't walk away. Great race indeed. I thought the track was sweet that day (what do I know) until RC gave it a thorough tongue lashing at the post race press conference. For a track that was described by RC as being one lined there sure was a lot of passing going on between Dungey, Lawrence, and Grant.

Happy to say I was there to witness that. During that whole battle we didnt it was like nobody else was on the track. I remember the entire crowd with us in the midde at the pond would walk to each side to only watch that battle. It was epic!

Yeah I always wondered why RC chose a very public forum to air his grievances. Jonathon Beasley works so hard to provide a national caliber track and I felt bad for the guy to have none other than the GOAT tear him a new one in public. That was the year of aerial footage helicopter, right? Man I felt like Ray Liotta in Good Fellas all day :-) There's that damn helicopter again.
