Maybe my memory is deceiving me, but it seems the rest of the world has been hearing the US shout it’s ‘America vs the world’ for the past 100 years or so?
Is it no longer a thing?

It has no place in moto.

Name a foreign racer who has been a fan favorite before 10+ years of living and racing in America (essentially becoming an American).

Every one except Pichon, Pourcel and JMB?

America has some bragging rights. It's an American racer who is the GOAT, an American racer who is the greatest sx rider of all time (and even though he stopped racing outdoors, he was as fast or faster than anyone), and a American who is the greatest 125 rider of all-time. America has the most MXdN 🏆

I personally don't think there's anything wrong with being proud of your country and  the riders that represent your country. I would rather Chase Sexton or Eli Tomac beat Jett.  If I was a kiwi, Id want Cole to dominate. If I was an Australian,  I'd want Jett to beat Chase and Eli. So far, he's doing a pretty good job of it.

So there's naturally gonna be back-and-forth, but in my opinion, Chase fans, I can tolerate Eli fans, I can tolerate. But with Jett fans, and there seems to be a lot of them, they are just hard to tolerate. In short, I think American fans are much more tolerant of foreign riders then the other way around. There seems to be a smug gloating of "ha ha I thought you yanks were the best?  Where's the beast mode, etc."

Jett knows his limits perhaps.  He knew there was a possibility he may wad it up if he pushed more. Also, he may read vital and knew if he crashed, that some experts on here may critique his riding, mental game or say that he’s over the hill and should retire now to save his legacy.

Im sure one component of being an elite rider is to not read any sm. Skin is only so thick.

Before sm, the only way to dis a rider would be to their face.  Legend has it that Hannah and Tripes had a lot of scaring on their knuckles due to a couple drunken intelligent smart asses cheek bones making contact with them; that was a tongue twister. 🤣

Apparently you weren't here when MX Geoff and the Gate Drop guy were in here, they were the most anti-American guys ever in here and they both are part of the MXGP media. They literally would start threads to fuel the MXGP vs AMA BS....MX Geoff got banned for creating a thread starting a false rumor about Webb going to the GPs and then feeding the negativity. The Gate Drop guy did a piece that appeared to be an interview with Kenny making it look like Ken said he hated Herlings by taking excerpts out of other peoples interviews...It got to the point to where Ken commented on it by saying that he had never met the guy, never talked to him and didn't even know who he was....I put their integrity level at the same as Kooksey.

I find it laughable when some non-American makes a comment about how Americans hate Jett but yet they have never been to a race in America and have never seen the lines for autographs, heard the cheers for him or how the majority of the fans are as mind blown by his riding ability and the things he does on a motorcycle....For the most part the fans here love Jett and what he does on his bike and I don't get how they think Americans hate Jett??? possibly because they read the above morans websites and they are still spewing the hate??? I wouldn't know because I personally won't waste my time on their pages because of their ant-American rhetoric and their fueling of the MXGP vs AMA feud that they have created....

Not sure why you quoted me? I never mentioned ‘Jett hate’ and your first paragraph is just weird.
I thought I asked quite a simple question……

One bad moto yesterday (where he still came third), won’t change the rides he’s shown multiple times before coming trough the pack against the best ridiers in the world.

Even if JS tried his best to push that narrative during the broadcast.

Yes, James has had that weird theory for a while now and I don't think it's correct. Jett was clearly not happy with the bike yesterday and decided to not risk pushing forward. It also meant he'd save energy - which is what he said. The part about the bike being off was something you could he was thinking but didn't want to go into too much. He did end up saying that was the case after the second moto. As for Jett being start dependent? Does James remember Budds Creek 2023?

You're repeating GooFan's tired line? That's bullshit. Shit stains like GooFan loathe Jett Lawrence and always have. He just says it's because of the fans so he can sleep at night and as a way to rationalise his pathological bias.

James alluded that he was start dependent as far as not having to push and be able to control the pace behind him. Both him and Wedge recognized that when Jett started to push to catch AP snd ET that his bike was not working as well causing mistakes. They hit the nail on the head and most racers won't admit that up front. No way they will give that edge of vulnerability to the competition.

I don't care what you think. I've always said good things about Jett, but I'm not the only one to notice the fans (not all) are intolerable.

Where's that shit stain GooFan lately? He's been awfully quiet with his Jett hate of late.  What about laying into Jett's fans?  Maybe he's realised he knows nothing about the sport and all his takes are about as cool as the 1 inch of air he regularly gets on his touring bike.

Americans just love to hate on a non American rider, if it was Chase or Eli doing the winning they would be proud.

Anyways, there´s a common ground tho, half the guys hated Hamilton when he was winning all, then half the guys hated Verstappen when he was winning all so i guess there´s that.

Buddy, do you know how sports work? People root for the home team. No matter what sport or country.  If not it’s just blow everyone.
