Does anyone have a source for actual WP springs for the 6500 kit?
Was just informed that many aftermarket springs are a few millimeters shorter than what WP calls for in these forks. I understand that spacers can be used, but I'd really just rather buy springs that are the correct length from the start.
What does your manual specify as the spring length? I ask because Google says 485mm for the 6500 kit, which is the same spring as the older WP bladder forks. Not to say you got bad info, but WP has a history of having inaccurate lengths. Quite often, one spring a couple of mm shorter than the other in sets.

Race Tech appears to be a few millimeters short (482) as usual with spacers.
Suspension Direct is selling the even shorter(480) KYB springs for the WP fork.
They are never 488mm (even from WP) as they should be I would say, more like 483-486 so you have to use spacers or preload clicks anyway.
Yes, as aees posted, the manual specifies 488mm. Maybe I've just been on air too long but I didn't realize using spacers to achieve the correct length was so common.

Remember that the 6500’s have adjustable preload, so if your springs only a few mm short, that could easily be accommodated with the preload clicker if you want to avoid spacers. Obviously you’d need to count the turns needed to know where “0 preload” is for future adjustments (so that you won’t inadvertently go negative).
