I've known Bernie for years, and he does awesome work.

I actually really dig the neck. I have the original but the truss rod snapped inside the neck and is actually the reason I got it so cheap. The truss rod is all bound up on both ends, and would basically ruin the integrity of the neck to remove it and replace it.

I found the Jap neck at a shop after searching for just the right one for about 5 months. It fits my hand perfectly and I have no complaints about it.

Isnt there a guy around here that has a '57 original Gibson Black Beauty? I seem to remember somebody having one.

Damn, you guys have some sweet stuff. I've gone for quantity over quality myself since I am a broke ass bum. The plus side about cheap stuff is that I don't have to worry about screwing them up, so I've taught myself a lot about repair and adjustment, I think my acoustic is the only guitar that's still original. My Sheraton II hollow body is still original too, but I plan on attempting to gut all the electronics in the near future, it will be a bitch working through the f-holes but it should be nice when I get done with it.

I was cursing all sorts of things while building a new wiring harness for my Gretsch. Instead of working through the F-holes, take the pickups out and work through those holes. They are a lot larger and easier to move around inside. Also, assemble everything outside the guitar, and use surgical tubing (or even carb gas lines) to pull the volume and tone pots through their respective holes.
