After the dust has settled from the last round of the outdoors i think we will be seeing a new race team enter the fold "Chad Reed Racing" they will be on suzuki's and wearing rat racing gear ( chad tweeted something about rat the other day) and i think most of the riders will be Aussies. just got a feeling from reading chads and others tweets over the last couple of months that something will be getting announced before the Australian super x, can't wait

This has to be the best Silly Season in year's, the last couple have been boring with little movement and no big rumors heading in.

This year it is all over the place, think the only big name rider that looks like he is safe and secure and worked out for next year is Dungey, well maybe depending on what Reeds Tweet meant!!!

JS still no deal done and plenty of speculation on colour and maybe even team

Reed has been associated with nearly every colour in the last week, every team, two energy drink companies, and even suggestions of his own team!

Pourcel, Honda , KTM , staying at Kawi ???

Short still nothing concrete there.

Canard probably most likely the only rider that looks to be safe at Honda for sure.

Metty sitting second in points, Ran with Dungey and still not signed, sure there are teams chasing his signature.

Alessi, staying with KTM going from KTM.

Townley where is he next year?

Grant, Hahn, Millsaps where to.

ITs already crazy and that is just for the top couple of riders, Silly season's look to be back and better than ever.

A little behind on some of those. However, i hope Chad picks the bike that truly suits him the best. He has things to prove and critics to shut up.

Reed is definitely staying with Monster as they sponsor his Aussie SX series and he has nothing but good to say about them. Didn't have a lot of nice things to say about Red Bull after leaving L&M.

Reeds privateer Monster Suzuki against Dungeys Factory Rockstar Suzuki? I'd love to see it but that is too much to ask in my opinion. Factory Suzuki is in bed with Rockstar across all their motorsports. Can't see Reed gettin much factory support if it is Monster based.

Travis still got factory support as a Red Bull rider when he raced his last supercross. I believe Roger helped him. I'm sure He could still get factory support with Monster.

I do think there is a mutual respect between Alessi and Reed though. Didn't Tony ask Reed about his secrets to success earlier this year? I could see those guys on the same team for a year.

Sponsoring Travis for a one off event where he will not be competitive with your top guy is different than having basically the #1 and #3 guy for the whole season. Don't get me wrong that would be awesome and Reed obviously gets along with the Suzuki. I just think it is unlikely.
Reed and Alessi were yellow together last year, I could see Reed really helping the overall KTM effort in USA.... Improving the 350 for his own and Mikes benefit.

I get that now. But I saw Matthes as the only one trying to be a journo, and this indicates this is not the case. I just have to realize there's no journalism whatsoever to be seen in this sport and that we have to keep living in this info vacuum for another decade. At least there's a point with forums when this is the closest to the truth since people can speak their minds.

I think Mathes walks on some pretty thin ice at times. I think one problem is that this is a small indusrty where alot of people know who is talking to who about what, the next thing you know something gets leaked and people are out of jobs over it. I do think it would be cool to have some people out there going " TMZ" on some of this stuff.

Reed was really hard on MA800 earlier cracking a lot of jokes about him being the navy seal and such.

I wonder if he really likes him and was joking or was making fun of him?

I know MA800 made a lot of comments about Stewart when Reed and Mike were teammates. I don't know if they actually like each other or not.

My guess is no Reed doesn't like Mike very well at all.

Liking and respecting are different things. Tony asked Chad and he responded with a conversation that was apparently heartfelt and true. He may make levity out of some situations with mike. But Chad respects him. As for the factory support, Suzuki could give him factory parts even if he is sponsored by Monster.

Write about what? Reed's deal? I texted him yesterday right after his tweet and we went back and forth for 15 min but he wasn't giving anything up. Looks like he's going to ride KTM and I would bet for that Aussie team that's coming over with PJ Larsen.

I've got the manager of the team I give goggles too very upset at me for a silly season tweet so clearly my jobs/friendships don't really affect my "reporting".

You should compare McGrath's carreer to Chad's in a future article.

McGrath - Long tome Honda rider, switches to Suzuki (fail), switches to Yamaha (with Brooks), switches to Bud Light KTM (retire) works for Honda as test rider.

Reed - Long time Yamaha rider (with Brooks), switches to Suzuki (success), switches to Kawasaki (fail), switches to Fosters Tongue KTM (retire), works for Yamaha as a test rider.

I can see Reed to KTM along with PJ Larsen (250's) and Alessi has a 2 yr. deal witih KTM, so who know what will happen there. Suzuki gives their team to Rockstar with support from Suzuki and Dungey stays and adds Short. That's why Reed had to leave Suzuki, they are in bed with Rockstar, Reed is Monster. Stewy is L&M and stays on Yamaha. Pourcel goes to Honda with Canard (done deal). Villopoto and Weimer to Kawasaki. Grant and Millsaps to Hart & Huntington bike to be named. Tedesco stays at Valli and maybe adds Hahn on Yamaha . Did I forget anyone....pffffttt....

lets correct this.... he didnt have alot good to say about L&M after leaving. He never once said dickall about Red Bull.
