Hey all,
I've created this topic to lump in the all the fundraising efforts and options in place and in the works for Jerry Robin. You can scroll down to learn more about each one and get updates on them.
Donation Link
As you've probably also seen, there are other ways to support Jerry in this time. There's a donation link with Road 2 Recovery here: https://www.road2recovery.com/athlete-causes/jerry-robin/
As of 7:30am PST on April 24th, this has raised over $120,000
The Auction
As of Monday, April 21st, we've begun the process of acquiring items, gear, parts, jerseys, and more to place in a benefit auction for Jerry Robin. We're very early into getting these items but our goal is to get this auction up and running shortly after the Supercross season finale. In the last 24 hours we've gotten a response or gotten in touch with pretty much every top level racer to get donations of signed gear and am still working my way down the list as we speak. We've got some GNCC riders stepping up and working on acquiring some stuff from MXGP next.
The benefit auction will be held through MX Locker as they have agreed to wave all fees associated with selling the materials, Ebay takes a chunk so we're staying clear of that for now.
Current eras riders and staff are easy to get a hold of, but I also know many of our members have personal collections that range far beyond what I can get my hands on now.
If for any reason you have a piece of memorabilia you'd like to donate to the auction, please reach out to me at MichaelLindsay512@gmail.com
If you have a service, product, or something else you'd like to put up for an auction spot to raise money, please also reach out to me.
We're trying to get this up and running right after the SX season concludes. I wanted to get it up for the final week of the season, but Feld has their auction for St. Jude's going that week, and it seems a bit counterproductive to have two benefit auctions running at the same time.
Steve Matthes and PulpMX
Matthes has a few things in the works. One of which is that he has entered Kyle Chisholm into the LCQ Privateer Challenge race at Denver on behalf of Jerry. Whatever Chiz wins in this race will be directly donated to Jerry Robin.
Secondly, he also has a donation page up and running with 100% of the proceeds going to Jerry. If the donations reach $7,700, Chiz will run #77 on his bike and gear in the LCQ Privateer Challenge race! (Yes, that $7,700 would go to Jerry plus anything else that's raised).

Merch
There will also be a drop of support Jerry shirts going out with Moto Tees and R2R in the next day or two. When those become available, I will update this.
Bike Raffles and Auctions
Also starting at Denver will be a bike raffle to support Jerry. His race bike will travel for the remainder of Supercross, all of Pro Motocross, and SuperMotocross with the McGinley Clinic support truck. It'll be on display with a QR code to enter to win his bike. We're getting the details on this sorted and should have an update in the coming days when we get that part live. You'll also be able to enter online as well.
I'm also working on another bike or two, will be updated when we get those details sorted.
Awesome. Thank you ML. What a wonderful community.
Done.
ML called me, I will be giving some gear this weekend to auction off through this as well!

Sorry to hear the news but you got a good pit crew. There’s no instruction manual but I could try and answer any tough questions people may have with me having a lot of spinal cord injury experience. In the New England area the Travis Roy Legacy Grant Foundation awards up to $5,000 for 1 item per year. For other funding there’s some grants scattered around to check out here: https://www.urologypros.com/pages/resources/spinal-cord-injury-grants-financial-assistance?gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAoRB1p5TekP3khcYPsUxd0XZQ1BKH&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIz4XGpZ3xjAMVm59aBR3lTi74EAAYAyAAEgKIBvD_BwE. Something as simple as a ramp or lift can run $5,000. These days a decent manual wheelchair can run $5-10,000. Most insurances pay for the basics but it’s a slow process to get doctor letters and PT evals. The wheelchairs are custom and take time to build too but there’s stuff left over like car mods. Standing frames usually get covered but there are some new exercise machines that are private pay. Just be careful with the electrical stim stuff because it can be risky to manage at home. It’s hard to get air mattresses covered by insurance so that’s the best investment to avoid bed sores or having to wake up to turn or wonder. If you want a full size bed to share 42” wide the insurance says you need to be at least 300 lbs bariatric to start plus wounds through them. The beds are $2-4,000 and some also come in 50+ inches. Try and test it first though through a dealer cause some suck. The blower style is quieter and more powerful. Anything APM circulates the air and blood flow. Raz has a good shower wheelchair that runs a couple thousand too but it still helps to throw waffle cushions on it. There are cheap $20 offset door hinges that work for any door to widen the doorway more accessible. The rehabs like the wooden transfer boards but the $20 plastic ones are longer and safer and putting a chux on it makes it easy. It’s easy to brew kidney stones so check out neutral diets. The insurance covers closed system catheters if you play your cards right with a kit with gloves and iodine swabs to prevent infections. Coloplast brand is one of the best because there are some bad ones. Like racing if you got the right equipment it makes life a lot easier. Willing to try new stuff in general is the million dollar contribution I can make based on what I’ve seen. A lot gets covered with Voc rehab towards a goal with school or driving or work related with some loan programs as a backup. Hangin around the right people makes it a lot easier too. Sometimes just getting through the day can feel like a top 5 main event or podium (or just being in the show via the lcq is a win too!)
Check your email. I sent some stuff you guys can auction.
If you donate to Road 2 Recovery and you work for a large company please check to see if your company has a donation matching program. I just checked my employers HR site and found the company match program. I uploaded the donation reciepts from Road 2 Recovery and the company agreed to match the funds which doubled the initial donation. Cant beat free money for cause like this.
i never would have checked and it turns out my company does this also , thanks !
$100,000+ already!! Jerry isn’t a privateer anymore, he’s got a lot of people pulling for him.
As of typing, Pulp MX has raised over $10,000...so Chiz will race with the #77 in Denver next weekend!
The R2R fund is just about to crest $135,000
I've got around 140 pieces of memorabilia in hand and en route for the upcoming action. Still working on more stuff and some cool experiences we will auction off as well.
Shirts are available through R2R as well: https://www.road2recovery.com/product/jerry-robin-tee/
MotoWhips also has shirts: https://www.motowhips.com/store#!/JR77-T-SHIRT/p/744126206
Great info ML
I did a TikTok Live Stream last night to raise money for JR77, after 6 hours live we were able to raise $2,032.00
My helmet raffle has hit $4800
I will also be in Pittsburgh tomorrow with JR77 stickers! Swing by the MRPSBR Husqvarna team if you’re attending, and grab one!
If you put some stickers up on the net like on ebay I will buy some and have my peeps represent the privateer JR77 spirit. He’s my fender inspiration.
Pit Row
I have another batch of 400 being made now, I personally do not have the time to pack orders etc to mail out but we are working on something within Motowhips to maybe list on there as they have someone to ship stuff!
Well, injuries take a little while to heal and adjust to so as long as we have people thinking of Jerry and trying to support him there isn’t any emergency on merch or publicity…we’re all there for him in our thoughts, prayers, and chipping in.
Mid-day on Saturday update:
R2R fund has hit $140,000
Pulp is at $10,700
Many options for shirts.
Lots of support at the race this weekend between the other riders.
Next round at Denver we will begin a raffle with Jerry's race bike that will last through SMX. You'll be able to sign up at the races and online, we should launch that next Friday.
Not one mention of Jerry during the Pittsburgh SX.
??
I heard Diffie/RC talk for about 30+ seconds about Jerry, his injury (without getting too specific), R2R, visiting him in the hospital, etc.?
He 110% did this during the 450LCQ
I meant at Pittsburgh.
I’ve heard RC talk a few times about injuries like Ernie and how it bothered him. He said he was like a surgeon on a bike and he wasn’t expecting it could happen to him. RC ended his career when he started having kids fearing to get injured I think and not be able to fully be there for them if that’s still a concept. Mitch has kids and seems pretty comfortable still. I think it was hard for Bailey at first but he made it work also coaching kids 1 on 1 like Sipes and even Ricky James who got him to ride again.
