Cox mentioned in the RacerX interview with Metcalfe (posted today) that the Aussie line-up of Reed, Metty and Dean Ferris has changed.

Anyone know what the change is?

I'm thinking that Chad isn't healthy enough yet and he will be replaced by Marmont.

Pure speculation though.

Even if Reed did race, Metcalfe should be the MX1 rider. Will he be the MX1 rider now and Marmont will be the MX3 rider?

Reed is a pussy. I tried to have his back, but he is a pussy. Remember RC in '07 at MXON? He was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) and still showed up and won--and he was retired.

Reed is a baby and is no longer needed.

I wish I had as much money and titles as that pussy.

Jay definitely deserves the opportunity. He is one guy who will not let oz down.

Good to hear Reed still saying he will race SX and MX next year. Would be a shame to lose him to the sport so soon. Especially when the Aussie SX series is just starting to gain a foot hold. To lose our biggest star this early would be very difficult.

How the hell is Chad supposed to sleep at night knowing you don't have his back any more?

A week ago say he said he was in? To bad he still sick or will be for a while with no chance of training, but a healthy Marmot is faster than a sick Reed... So I guess all is good... No Reed, No AC, no Stew... They are dropping like flies...

No Italy, dutch, or strong Aussie team. All that is left is a USA 1,2 in every moto. The french might think different.

And I wish I could ride a bike like that pussy!

Mr. helloo, hate stating the obvious, but you are a very, very silly person!

I would still like to see Matt Moss in the mix somehow.

Ummm, I don't know...battled adversity, persevered through pain and injury...plenty of stuff, I guess.

Matt Moss' 2010 record (to date) is an unfortunate and misleading reflection of the talented rider he is. The reasons for his below-par performances are, I'm sure, many and varied and any speculations should probably be saved for a separate thread.

My statement about Matt Moss being in the mix is more a personal "wish" than an attack on the Aussie team as-named. I have nothing against Jay Marmont, or Dean Ferris for that matter. Jay, in particular, is an excellent rider. I'm confident that they, along with Brett Metcalfe - who's on fire at the moment, will make Australia proud. Just like our juniors did in France last weekend.

It's just that I like the Moss brothers. You should see them fly when they're fit and healthy. Matt is super smooth and Jake is super quick. Maybe 2011.

I have seen them both, as you put it, "fly" when they're fit. And I understand what you are saying now you have further explained yourself.

I actually think Matt is more on the edge rather than super smooth. I think he is a perfect example of somebody who needs to slow down to go faster. But of course that's just my opinion.

Marmont will be solid, hope he does a national before the big dance.

It is great to see Marmont get his chance to race for Australia at the MXoN, National champion three years running super talented and super consistant.

Hopefully we will see him run the last three rounds of the AMA nationals to keep himself race ready.

Matt this year he has slowed down and he isnt going faster? By the way, he has won the last 3 aussie lites titles with a round or 2 of the series still to run over guys like Tye Symmonds,Luke George,Ryan Marmont and USA rider Kyle Cunningham, very consistant results,as his dad i can assure you he did not believe in himself for 450 ama outdoor this year, he was keen for 450 sx but missed that thru injury and was hoping that would build his confidence for outdoor but he still very much believes in himself for outdoor or SX on a lites bike. Anyway Go Jay, 3 time aussie champ, our homegrown best 450 rider.

You're not the only person to express that opinion. I've heard similar comments made by people at the very top of the sport in Australia. I think we're still to see the best of the Moss boys - the prospect of which is very exciting for the future of Australian motocross. A little bit of time and maturity under their belts and watch out.

P.S. I also think Old Mate should be in the mix, too.

I know his record and congratulate him on that. I was actually hoping he would do better than what he has so far in the states.

How is he looking for next year? Has he got something worked out for over there? Obviously rides are getting scarce but would like to see him get another shot at it.

I too hope we see Matt (and Jake) back in the States in 2011; however, given how rough this year has been I wouldn't be surprised to hear that a domestic 2011 is on the cards, if only to get healthy, regroup, and get ready for another assault on the AMA in 2012.

I know we are just guessing here, but I kind of agree with you. It wouldn't surprise me to see Reardon back in Oz for 2011 and beyond. I think his chances are up. Plenty of chances to do something on really good equipment and in my opinion hasn't succeeded at that!!!

He has a 2 year deal with monster not Kawasaki he even said himself that his ride next year will depend on what monster and Kawasaki are doing next year. Wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't have a bike for the mxon and thats why he pulled out, there has been plenty of talk about RV and CP riding for Kawi next year but heard nothing about reed staying there and after the year that he has had it wouldn't surprise me if he wasn't there. There is plenty of fit hot talent coming up through the ranks at the moment and Chad has gone from being the most consistant rider in the ama to the most unpredictable the big teams want results thats why they pay the big bucks and they will want the person they think will give them there results at the moment i don't think chad is that person.
